I did wonder where “black mamba” came from.

That nickname is also associated with Kobe Bryant

I know there are tons of free Photoshop instructions available but thinking of buying Matt Kloskowski's "Photoshop System" course. Anybody used one of his courses? Thanks.

Thanks. So you are west of El Valle. We were in Anton over the weekend with my wife's sister and brother-in-law.

Yes. About 20 kilometers northeast of Penonome.

A+!! I really like your technique. Like you, I am also an expat in Panama (Churuquita Grande).

Be still my heart! I owned a 1959 356A Cabriolet but when I moved from Florida to Panama I decided it was best to sell it. A really beautiful (IMO) and fun to drive automobile.

Not me. I met him and taught his daughter, Nancy. For me, during my youth, Bobby Thompson's 51' winning World Series homerun was the ultimate. "The shot heard around the world!"

Not to be nit picky but Bobby Thompson’s homer was not a World Series home run. It was hit in a National League tiebreaker game against the Dodgers to decide which team would go to the World Series to play the Yankees.

Considering everything involved, was this the greatest home run in MLB history? Of course, there were dramatic one-offs that won more important games, but do any beat the drama of this one? I never tire of watching and listening to it. Does this match the lore of Ruth calling his shot? For one, consider that Eckersley had not given up a homer since August.

If you think any that top it, please list....and Reggie Jackson's THREE homers on three consecutive pitches in the 6th game of a World Series don't count!!
Considering everything involved, was this the grea... (show quote)

Not even close IMO. I think Bobby Thompson 1951 tiebreaker game against the Dodgers (got the Giants into the World Series) and Bill Mazeroski game 7, 1960 (won the World Series) are two that are far more dramatic and important than Gibson's. When Gibson hit his it was only game 1 of the Series and he never came to the plate again in that series.

Great shots! How did you get the second one from behind and above the plane?

Not to nit pick but a 6 foot human jumping a 360 ft football field would be only 60 times body length. At 350 times body length the flea easily wins the trophy. To equal the flea the human would have to jump almost 6 football fields

I gave up photography for awhile when digital took over from film and a work related move made me leave my darkroom behind. I got adducted again when Lightroom 4 was new and have had about a half dozen cameras.

The Pocket 2 has the most "out of the box" design of any of them. It makes no sense that it can do what it does as uniquely as it does it.

Thanks! That makes me feel much better about having such weak sales resistance :-)

Thanks for the set. Always enjoyed shooting at Wakodahatchee, Loxahatchee and Green Cay. Did the stork deal with the snake? :-)

I have a small farm in the interior of Panama. After my drill I went DeWalt battery powered chainsaw, hedge trimmer and angle grinder. Circular saw next on my list. Great tools for general everyday work. For the heavy duty cutting I hire locals with the big gas guzzlers :-)
