Susan, I am not sure were in Maryland you live. There is a excellent local photography store in Hamden, Maryland (in Baltimore). The store is Service Photo. They have a Used Cannon 70-300 listed. If you are close to Baltimore, you can check it out firsthand. The staff is well qualified, professional, and service oriented. It is my go to photo store for many years. Photo Service is also very competitive with the bigger online & NY stores.

I have used them all - Seagate, Western Digital, and Toshiba for system backup as well as using for my photos. I have not had a problem with any of those storage systems. My recent preference has been WD My Passport 2TB.

I will pile on. I have had the lens for 4 to 5 years on Nikon crop sensor (D7100 & D500). It is a great walk around lens with good versatility in good light. I have been happy with the performance and quality of this lens.

I am an amateur at best. My main camera is a Nikon d7100. But I carry a Canon G7X Mark II when I want to go casual. The G7X is a 1" sensor with a 24-100mm f/1.8-2.8. This provides flexibility and acceptable shots for viewing.
