One more thought for consideration, consider giving carefull attention to the vignetting that shows on the corners of the picture. You may need to zoom a little more to eliminate that almost always ugly vignetting.

That might be intentional to mask the fact that her right elbow is slightly off the edge of the chosen tabletop. Only she can tell us!

Yes it was intentional, to mask the fact that my pose was not quite as perfect as I had hoped...10 seconds is not long enough for me to reach perfection.....still I keep trying! lol

Nice shot, Sheri. I would not even attempt it. :-)

Oh but you should...I use a timer and have 10 seconds to get in place, it was a lot of fun. It is helping me learn to plan my shots better and reminds me how it feels to be in front of the camera

Thank you for the suggestions, I will try again.....and thank you for the kind words.

This is such a great funnel cloud, it looks good in all three shots! I cannot decide which I like best.

These are very nice. I like your work. Number 2 has just a bit of noise, have you tried converting this into b/w? It is really a wonderful catch.

I'm a photography newbie, so please take my question as meant to help me understand photography better, not to put you on the spot. I was wondering why the ISO on this photo was set so high? Were you looking for some noise in the photo? Thanks!

I was working without lighting, I printed out an 8x10, an did not notice too much noise. Sometimes I need to work with little or no lights. I still have quite a lot to learn myself. I am compiling a book of poses that I like, this one made the cut. Hope that helps. Now you have me thinking. I am going to do more research on using high ISO (digital)

Thank you for the suggestions, I agree early or late would be better light, my schedule just doesn't always cooperate.

I like the idea of cropping out the curb too.

Thank you, for the welcome, these are two of my grandsons an my son-in-law. The house is one I have been noticing for a few months. I seem to be drawn to old things.

These are lovely photos. My favorite is #3. The clouds really add a great deal to this already great shot.
