In our house the rule is "Put The Seat Down Before You Flush". Step dad was a Medical Doctor (DO) and it is a "Health Thing" Less germs put into the air. (Less smell too.)

Have fun Jerry. While in Altoona you might visit the Altoona Curve and watch some trains.

PT Barnum said it best--A sucker is born every minute. Concentration must be high at my house all the house plants flourish.

Excellent Jim, given that it might have been from 1978 and she looks to be 18 or 19, she could be 64 or 65 now. Makes a person wonder how good she looks now, if only there existed a current picture. Thank You.

As a California native for 75 years, I have been through a lot of Earthquakes and a 4.8 is very mild. A 7.2 will knock you off your feet. Welcome to my world! If you have Sirius/XM ask Shotgun Tom channel 73 60's host 4-7 pacific time Week days. Also CA Native.

We had a cat that had asthma and needed a prednisone pill every other day. Our Vet gave us some pills that were "rapid melt" about 2mm in diameter. The cat thought they were treats, put one on the floor and she would lick it up and swallow in one motion. The company that made them went out of business and then the "fun" began. New ones twice as big but still rapid melt only must have tasted bad, had to place in cats mouth and hold it closed for 10 seconds until pill dissolved, then cat ran to water bowl. Used to wrap the dogs pill in peanut butter. Gone in .25 seconds

Years ago when I was an Apprentice Electrician one of the Journeyman (who was a Grandfather) told of taking his 4 year old Granddaughter to Sears with him. He was shopping for tools and the plumbing department was the next aisle over. Granddaughter was pulling on his arm, but he was busy. Granddaughter disappeared and a crowd gathered in the plumbing department. You know the rest, yes she did and he was asked to leave the store.

All well and good, but even Ham Radio will not normally connect you to basic emergency services (Fire, Law Enforcement, etc.) during a cell phone outage. Sure you can talk to other Ham operators. Yes many disaster services use Ham Radio Operators when needed during major disasters so take that into consideration. There are many "Ham" clubs around and may offer help getting a license for low cost or free.

In downtown San Francisco CA there are blocks and blocks of stores closed and empty because the theft problem and lack of prosecutions put them out of business.

Homedepot.com or maybe carhartt.com?

I buy tools and wood from Homedepot.com, I buy jackets, shirts, hats, etc. from Carhartt.com.
I checked Homedepot.com for Carhartt clothing and found nothing.
Never seen any in one of their stores either.

Maybe it is a Southern California thing but all the Home Depot stores in San Diego County (10+) have Carhartt work clothing in the Tool department and I have been buying thru HomeDepot.com to get the 44" waist size I need.
