I am happy with my HP Envy 17 inch 1TB 16Gb Ram. The 17 inclaptop is quite heavy so I would recommend a 15 inch if traveling. About $1000.00 new.
Ditto on the South Sarasota area, Clearwater, St. Pete, etc. We live in the center of the state, The Villages and moved from Clarkston, Michigan. Birding is great on the East and West coasts in the wetlands. Have a wonderful time here in Florida.

I have a Nest gimbal and use it with a Nikon and Tamron 150-600 lens. I bought it about a month ago off ebay for $172.00 brand new but I'm sure it must be imported for that price. I have to say it is an awesome gimbal, lightweight yet very sturdy. The movement is very smooth and the tensioning knobs work perfectly. I would recommend the Nest for sure.

Go on Ebay and search for a C Stand. Then drop down a couple of ads until you find the C Stand for $74.40 and the seller is Lightingsaving. He has sold 209 of them. I purchased one from him and it is awesome. Very heavy duty polished stainless steel and very sturdy. Easy to fold up the stand. I have a 650 watt Lightstar on mine. I am very pleased with it. You won't be disappointed. dave

Downloaded Luminar 2018 yesterday and it would not work with LR Classic. It took nearly 15 minutes to link to Luminar from LR and then completely locked up my computer for about 15 minutes and crashed. I'm sure the Luminar folks are going crazy this morning with all the problems from a new release. Too bad they don't have a phone number to call, just email responses. The standalone version works OK but totally unusable as a plugin for LR at this time for me anyway....until they can get this fixed.
Luminar 2018 was sent out today. I can see it will give Lightroom a run for it's money. Have not used the 2018 version yet but the download went fine and there are lots of videos associated.
I have the Tamron 150-600 VC (the lens preceding the G2) and am thrilled with it. I purchased it used on Ebay for $600.00 in like new condition. I just shot several remote control racing sailboats at 600 mm across to the other side of a large pond and even at 600mm I can accurately see the sail's rigging crystal clear. I am also using a Nest carbon fiber gimbal and an Induro CLT 403 heavy duty carbon fiber tripod which holds my D7200 Nikon and this lens. Very satisfied.
I bought the Canon Pro 10 shipped and no tax for $179.00 and it came with ink and 50 sheets of 13x19 paper. Sounds strange that no ink comes with the Canon. I'd give them a call. David
Go to Backcountrygallery.com Then go to the "contact" heading. Instructions are there how to re-download your e book. That should resolve your problem of not receiving your e book.
Great E book. Easy to read and understand. Steve does a great job of explaining every step to help you understand the auto focus system of Nikon cameras. I would love to see the book in hard copy print as I do like the physical hands on books. Printing almost 500 pages is a bit much. Highly recommended to Nikon owners.
One thing LR cc is missing is the ability to make prints. I do a lot of printing for contests. I tried LR cc for a couple days and ended up uninstalling it.
I fully understand. I have spent hours and hours organizing this one, making a file which includes all 49 photographs so I can show our local 3 photo clubs in The Villages all the pictures next week, setting up lunch, answering questions before, during and after the event, building a spreadsheet to record all the names, clubs and their photo names, etc. etc. I do get enjoyment out of it, met many new faces and I love the challenge. So being a leader is not for every body, that's for sure!
