On my video editing program...I am using Adobe Rush...there is a speed control that allows you to slow down or speed up the film. I bet any video editing program would have this feature.
Yes! And don't forget the wonderful way to catalogue all those photos too. The keywording portion is adds so much value to the LR classic package.
Yes...but always compare the results. I have been especially happy with photos that are too dark initially. Great time saver since I do a lot of nature photos of birds and insects to document and really don't manipulate my photos a lot.
Great addition to Lightroom!
I am interested in your book for my daughter...she loves succulents. How can I purchase one? I use Shutterfly to create my books, but making copies to sell to families and friends is always cost prohibitive. And I am not interested in selling in the amounts you are...Bravo for your work.
I will talk to my husband...this is going to be a big project.
Sounds like the D7200 has good video capabilities...but not ready to invest in a camera right now. Thanks for the encouragement to try your method...
That is what scares me about the Wolverine...that it needs some kind of adjustment to enable it to play back properly. I know you can't remember what you did, but you were able to figure it out. Was it difficult?
Thanks for your response.
Thanks for all the responses. I still am torn which way to go. I will do some more reading...which I am sure will not help resolve the issues. Will talk with my parents and see what they think. The special sentimental films might be worth getting professionally done...the first film my grandmother took was when my dad was in 7th grade. My mom was walking past their house, and my Dad threw a snowball at her. They have been married 69 years. That film is pretty special.
Yes...I looked through the archives, but nothing has been posted recently so wonder if anyone has used the Wolverine products or the other one listed on Amazon...Pro Film Digitizer Machine by Rybozen. Not really any reviews other than the ones on Amazon. I don't have working projectors nor a camcorder. I am starting on my parents 8mm films that start in the early 40's and continue so the cost of commercially transferring seems impractical.
Any help would be appreciated.
Timely subject! I was looking for the latest info on converting photograph albums to digital, and am convinced I need to set up a camera and lens system. Any tricks on setting up such a system...worried that if I hold the camera in my hands, I lose time setting the albums. Any tricks for handling lighting when photographing from albums? I don't have any negatives so not worried about that aspect.
How has it been going since you posted last? I am gearing up to start trying to save my parents 8mm...first one was shot in early 40's. Way too expensive to send out, but nervous about which way to go. Any hints would be appreciated.
Thanks for this tip...I expand and contract all the other panels, but just haven't found the right spot to adjust this strip. Hurrah! Will be a big help!
I should go back and read the help manuel. I read it a few years ago, but was more of a novice, so probably would benefit from a refresher.
I leave them on...otherwise I would have no idea of what it was I was trying to photograph
I found rolls of film from my daughter taken when she was in college. She died is car crash 11 years ago...so the film was at least 15 years old. I took it to a camera store to be developed. I was able to explain the age of the film as well as the emotional connection. They did a great job. I guess my suggestion would be to find some place that is not a Kmart, Walmart, Walgreen type store where the film just gets sent in to a large processing plant. Thanks for sharing your story.
If you click on the Zuca tab on the Amazon product page, it will take you to their main site...shows all kinds of ideas. This link is for an actual photographers carry on...I am sure this is more expensive than what you were wanting to spend, but you have opened up a great discussion today
