If ever you are without a camera, but with a modern phone, when you see a picture possibility, you may find your phone is capable of taking remarkable photos. Or you could just be a camera snob and miss the photo all together.

Click on the icon in the Finder, then Command-E will eject the item from memory (but not physically—you have to do that yourself).

I want to know if Nikon makes a adapter that will work with the NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S on a D850 or D6?

Sure, but only by using a reverse adapter. 😜

The only part of me that’s shaking is my head, as in “nope.” No unicorn assets for me.

Every photograph is a story told by the photographer to the viewer. In your example photo the story I understood was one of serenity, monotony and expansive dullness. It’s not a story that grabs my attention and asks me to consider a particular subject, pattern, or shape as being interesting. The photo uses parallel bands of muted, low-contrast colors to create a sense of vastness, reinforced by the slender black objects distributed across the scene and diminishing into the distance. Your dissatisfaction with the photo tells me you wanted to tell a different story. If so, you must engage in a self-dialog and decide what you intend to say.

Isn't up the only way it could go?

Er, no. They could have been flat, or down even more than recently.

I have no set budget. I just want sharper pictures, a next step up from what I have.

Before you drop a lot of money on new camera gear, you may be able to get sharper pictures by (1) improving the stability of your hand-held shooting technique, (2) using higher shutter speeds, (3) holding your breath while releasing shutter, (4) squeezing the shutter release, not simply pressing it, (5) bracing your camera and/or yourself against a sturdy immovable object, (6) checking the focusing accuracy of your current gear, or (7) using a tripod/monopod.

I forgot to add in my comments that when I got my first job as an assistant to an established advertising photographer in Chicago (1970), and I thought I was 'big stuff' he sat me down the first week and said 'Remember, your first 1,000 pictures are PRACTICE". You will never stop learning how to 'see'.
After 54 years as a commercial/advertising/magazine photographer I would amend that comment to say "your first 2,000 PICTURES are practice".
You never do stop learning (I still look at images and try to understand how the photographer used lighting/camera angle/props, etc. to achieve what they did) I learn every day...how to 'see' light/shadow/subject/concepts.
Photography is a personal and subjective road whether you are an amateur or professional. YOUR vision, YOUR experience, YOUR interpretation is what drives your images and always will.
Nobody sees what you see, just as you cannot tell someone else what they 'should' be seeing in the camera.

Keep using your camera, do not be discouraged or depressed from what this idiot said to you.

Your comment is spot on. There is no ending point for learning to see pictures.

I only carry my phone if my wife is not with me; which is not often. I have never taken a picture with it. Don't even know how. I am proud of that fact.

Not sure why one would be proud of not using one of the defining inventions of the 21st Century, but if it floats your boat, just go for it.

The OP wants a lens for his D7200, a DX camera. With either the 24-120 or 28-300, both FX lenses, he would have a not very wide 36 or 42 mm equivalent at the low end. The Nikon 18-140 3.5 5.6 DX got excellent reviews, and would provide a very useful range for not a great deal of money.

The sweet walk-around lens for my D7500 is the Nikon 18-140 DX. It has very good IQ, with decent reach at the long end, while avoiding the bulk and weight of the super zoom alternatives.

Im haven't tried the hi res mode on my em5 2 yet because I've been using some old Nikon glass that probably doesn't have enough resolving power to take advantage of it. I just ordered the m zuiko 7-14 2.8.
I thought I read somewhere that a firmware update to the em1 2 would take a separate exposure to combine in camera with the hi res shot to compensate for any subject movement. It would be at the camera's native resolution but I guess if you didn't pixel peep close enough you wouldn't notice.
My question is to anyone who has the em5 2 if that firmware update applies to it? I know I could always do it manually in PP, but would rather have the camera do it for me.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
Just kidding about the comet, but I'm becoming frustrated in trying to see it. I have the Stellarium app on my iphone and have pinpointed where it's supposed to be. What's the best time?

I was able to spot NEOWISE in the light polluted skies of suburban Los Angeles only by using (7x50) binoculars. It was not visible with my naked eye. I did manage to get a pretty poor image with Nikon 200-500mm on a D7500 and a monopod.
