[I have the Nikon P100 and P600,also the D5200 loaded. P100 won me several conversations tests, one a picture of the moon craters and mountains

I purchased "hard" covers for my camera on Amazon! They fit perfectly, almost like Monster Glass for cell phones! At hospital right now, will look up nimver,as soon as I can, they fit perfectly

Moon videos & photos with Nikon P1000

Hi Paul, I have been away from this site for a while, life has me in a different direction, but found your inquiry interesting.

I have used my P-600 with the following settings:
F/6.3 lens
1/250 sec
ISO - 400
0 stops
236mm
no flash (set on landscape/night)
Max Aperture 3.Metering system - spot on center
The equivalent lens FL is 1320mm
The camera was set to landscape auto settings.

Lens recommendation

Not sure what you are expecting, but my everyday lens setup is Nikon D5200, with a Tamron 16-300 zoom, with camera set to APETURE mode! It works great in low light or bright sun! I also have a Prime lens but I never took it out of the box!

While at Portland Head Light, out on your telephoto lens and get a great shot of RAM ISLAND LIGHT, the "Ghost" Lighthouse of Portland Harbor!
