Eliminating lenses is a good solution. I got the 14-150 with my E-M1ii but wanted something wider at the low end. I bought a used 12-40 which I enjoyed. Looking through the focal lengths I shot at, there was little between 100-150, so the 14-150 was not needed. I sold the 12-40 and 14-150 and bought the 12-100. I shoot most of the time with this lens. You have the 75-300 so you have the 100+ covered.

I just received the 14-150. I took it on what I called a history tour with my grandchild. Vintage train event at the Union Depot in St.Paul, Native American mounds in Mounds Park, Cemetery with his great, great-great grandparents plots, and several beautiful homes his Swedish ancestor built in the early 20th century. He excitedly asked to know more about his family while at the cemetery. Great attitude for an 11 year old.

The 14-150 did everything I wanted to do very well. It seems to fit my needs along with the 7-14. I can sell the 12-40 and give away the 40-150. Bonus- I won't need a larger camera bag, with which I didn't want to go without.

Thanks to all who offered advice.

Bigger and bigger to house more and more equipment... Tesla is planning to make one with batteries and electric motor to ease the moving of the 100# of camera, lenses, and lighting. Yes, i am a minimalist but do have the DSLR & Lenses from "those days." My big bag day are over except for collecting dust in the closet.

That thought has continually been in the forefront of my mind for some time. This may be the event that forces me to look at dropping 2 lenses and find a single replacement. I am thinking of replacing the 12-40 2.8 and the 40-150 with a 14-150. I will lose a heavy lens and still have coverage from 7-300mm (14-600).

Thanks for the slap upside the head.

Look at Ruggard Cases. I had the same issue recently- a fan of Think Tank, own several. Ruggard is impressive, bought one.

Thanks. The PSB-645B Commando Pro 45 DSLR Shoulder Bag might be what I am looking for.

You don't mention how many or how long your lenses are. I have a Lowe Pro AW450 that holds my 4 lenses including a Tamron 150-600 with a Sony LA-EA4 adapter and flash unit.

I have
OMD 10ii
Olympus 12-40 f2.8
Olympus 40-150 f4-5.6
Olympus 75-300ii f4.8-6 something
Laowa 17 f1.8
Metz 58 AF 2
Everything actually fits!

Adding Olympus 7-14 f2.8

I have the Think Tank 30i and it is packed tightly. I just ordered an UWA zoom and am looking for a slightly larger bag. It appears that the 30i is the largest in its line up. I would like to find something that functions the same.
Suggestions welcome.

Thanks

I have a choice of two lenses to buy for my Olympus Pen Lite E-PL5 - both around the $300Aus 2nd hand and I can only afford one of them!!
1. Olympus 75-300mm 1:4.8-6.7
2. Olympus 60mm f2.8 macro.
I already have a 14-42 kit lens on the E-PL5 - its OK but not used much as I have a better 14-150mm on my E-M5 Mk2 which I use a lot. I don't like changing lenses which is why I like the 14-150.
I do a lot of seascapes/landscapes, ships, yachts, planes, some macro of flowers and rarely birds or animals. Very occasional moon shots.

Just wondering which lens experienced M4/3 hoggers would choose.

Cheers JohnR

I find that I use the the 75-300ii all the time. Do some review reading. The general consensus is that the lens can be somewhat soft at the 300mm range. Many users feel that some of the issue is user error. Others limit the lens to approximately 250mm.

Yes you can set Adobe bridge to open Tiffs in Affinty Photo. Go to Bridge preferences - File Type Associations - look down the list for - TIFF (.tif, .tiff) to the right set the down arrow to : Affinity Photo 1.8.6

What about opening RAW files, Bridge to Affinity Photo?
I can't view RAW files in Bridge, so it must not generate a thumbnail that be seen?

Is there a smooth workflow that allows me to view a file in Bridge and then send it over to Affinity Photo for processing?

I am new to a lot of this.
Thanks

I have been using Affinity Photo and, like others, I have found the size of icons is too small for these tired old eyes. I am using a 25 inch 1440 monitor.
**What monitor sizes are others using to help with this issue?

I would like to find a way to use Affinity Photo, but...
...I find that I frequently revert to an old version of Photoshop Elements for comfort.
**If I get PS Elements 2021 what will I be not getting? I am a casual user and mostly use Olympus RAW files, tone/color curves, selections, retouching, noise reduction, and stacking.

Questions?

Thanks

Right idea, wrong direction. Set to +1 or 2. Works in all BUT A Mode.

Everyone seems to agree that a cameras meter will overexpose a dark object as it tries to reach middle gray.

Why would someone increase exposure (+1-+2) to make it look lighter. +1 or +2 is for underexposed light objects.

If you spot meter a white object and a black object, both will be approximately the same tone of gray.

It's multilanguage so it's a pain to find the English section. Basically put the Metz on slave mode then the built in flash will trigger it.

I have used this flash only on camera. I am wondering what, if anything, is built in that would allow me to trigger this flash by using the built in flash in my camera (OMD 10 ii)?

I stopped in to my local camera store and received a blank look.
