Adobe Bridge with Affinity Photo

Is there a smooth workflow that allows me to view a file in Bridge and then send it over to Affinity Photo for processing?

I am new to a lot of this.
Thanks

Nope.
Even the usual modifiers (Alt-Ctrl-Shift) do not offer explorer's option.
Bridge=Adobe so Adobe products only.

Yup.

Right click an image, select Reveal in Explorer and open the file in any program you want.

Did not see that option. You are correct. A crazy extra step thought, dropping down to explorer.

I only use LR6. I right click, choose edit in . Affinity Photo is on my list. I send it out as a tif file. When closing out of AP, I also save a copy to a pictures folder (called Affinity) to make sure I have a copy with all the layers saved that I can re-edit if need be. If I think I won't need to edit again I can always get rid of it later.

Lightroom does the same thing. Some of us collect processing programs. Once revealed in Explorer, it is easy to open it in Elements, Topaz, Photolemur, NIK, etc.

Considering the price of free and the capabilities, Bridge is a pretty good deal.

Yes you can set Adobe bridge to open Tiffs in Affinty Photo. Go to Bridge preferences - File Type Associations - look down the list for - TIFF (.tif, .tiff) to the right set the down arrow to : Affinity Photo 1.8.6

What about opening RAW files, Bridge to Affinity Photo?
I can't view RAW files in Bridge, so it must not generate a thumbnail that be seen?

I can view both RAW and JPEG files. I suspect it is because Bridge 'borrows' the ACR data from other Adobe apps that I keep current. If one installed a trial of Photoshop Elements, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc, it might be that the ACR data would be there for Bridge.
