Same thing happened to me. I tried to send a message that I wanted to stay with my existing password. No way to get message through. So, just changed my password per their request and all is now OK. This morning I got an email from Amazon notifying me that, "per my request", they had changed my password.
Make sure you get to visit some of the older houses. They are unique, only in Charleston.
Coco is a joy, and mature well beyond her age. I just hope she goes slow, so the pressure of her fame does not burn her out, as has happened to many other young stars. From what I can see, her dad and mom will help keep her grounded.
Traveling in Germany 10 years ago, I visited one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. It is located in the open rolling hills of Bavaria, miles from any sizable city. It is Wieskirche, just down the road from the village of Wies (pop. 657) in southern Germany near the Alps and the border with Austria. The story goes that in 1738 tears were observed on a wooden statue of Jesus known as the "Scourged Savior." This "miracle" resulted in a pilgrimage to see the statue. In 1740, a small chapel was built to house the statue, but soon became too small to handle the pilgrimage. So, Wieskirche was built from 1745 to 1754 in a grand Bavarian rococo style by two Zimmerman brothers who were local architects and artists whose works in this period can be found all over Europe. The brothers did most of the art work and ceiling frescos
in Wieskirche and brought in other famous artists to do the altarpiece and a few of the statues in the church. I have borrowed the second and third photos from other sources; the remaining photos are mine. Enjoy the photos and visit Wieskirche if you are ever in southern Germany.
I visited the Grand Canyon for two days last week. I was totally amazed at the immensity of the canyon, the variety of geologic formations, the colors in the canyon, and the weather. Photos can barely capture the beauty and scope of this national park, but I tried. If you get a chance to visit the Grand Canyon, do it. You will be pleasantly surprised (but there are big crowds in the Village during summer season). I ran into snow, hail, rain, fog, overcast and sunshine during the two days. I did not realize that the elevation of the south canyon rim was 7000 feet. It was a great trip.
From my sports photo experience: Speed priority, probably 1/800 to 1/1000 because the baseball moves very fast, spot focus (requires you to aim carefully), auto focus, ISO 100 to 400 depending on sun vs. cloudy and adjust to get a good aperture setting. I use a Nikon 70-300 lens which adjusts focus very quickly, and I use a monopod, and get good results. 70-200 lens will not let you get good shots in outfield, and 2.8 is not needed for daylight photos.
Done a lot of work in their lifetimes, now retired. At the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum in Vista, CA.
These monsters from the distant past are on display at the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum in Vista, CA. They kept a lot of welders and mechanics busy. Comments are welcome.
I enjoy all the exhibits at the County Fair, and also enjoy photographing the Fun Zone. As I am older, I remember the days when I participated long ago. But the rides have gotten so much more challenging and scary. You do not see many adults in these photos. Do you remember your days in the Fun Zone?
I love the county fair in San Diego: the animals, the flower show, the woodworking, the photo show, the food, and much more. I suspect a lot of people enjoy their county fair each summer. So I thought I would share some photos of my county fair here (more on the fun zone later).

I saw an ad for the All American Car Show XX in Carlsbad, a small town just north of San Diego. I went to the show and was totally amazed - probably 300 cars and trucks, old and new, very nicely restored to barn finds, and more. Following are photos of a few, andI plan to submit more in future postings. Photos with a D7100 camera, Nikon DX 55-200mm lens, at various settings. The day was overcast. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
Also, shoot on a monopod.
