I visited the Grand Canyon for two days last week. I was totally amazed at the immensity of the canyon, the variety of geologic formations, the colors in the canyon, and the weather. Photos can barely capture the beauty and scope of this national park, but I tried. If you get a chance to visit the Grand Canyon, do it. You will be pleasantly surprised (but there are big crowds in the Village during summer season). I ran into snow, hail, rain, fog, overcast and sunshine during the two days. I did not realize that the elevation of the south canyon rim was 7000 feet. It was a great trip.
