Great shot! Wouldn't change a thing.

Having to move along due to the number of posts, as I want to get to know the folks here, but I'm coming back to look at your website. But no apology necessary for the "head shot" -- I think it's very good! Wish I looked good enough to post a shot like that! LOL.
I'm interested in restoration as well but have no equipment yet. I have a family photo that is over 100 yrs old, a portrait of enormous sentimental value that has a line running through it, so that has spurred an interest in learning restoration.
Keep up the good work!

Thank you!
I bet you could fix that photo up lickety-split. Do you have a scan of it? I'd take a look at it...
Hello & it's nice to meet you too Linda!
Thank you for signing up... like to chat w/ you as well on the subject of restoration. Feel free to PM me if you feel inclined...
Thanks for the notes!
Beer;check. After that I'm sure I'll be winging it!
A 'blind' girl playing w/ fire after drinking some beer. It's sure to be a fun night... :O)
VERY cool! I'd love to hear how this shot w/ the card was done.
(My step-son walked in as I was viewing it & said it would make a sweet tattoo too.)
@jwilliams; That's awesome! Love the effect you gave it. Very nice, thanks for sharing!

I've often wondered how people or groups/bands can play strictly one genre of music? I love music, and to sing around the house; but I like everything from GnR to Judy Garland...

DeRonda- WOW! 20 for a cat is pretty good! We had one live to be 24! It still doesn't make it any easier to lose them. =-(
Juno is a beaut!
Thank you! Wow; 24, that's a wonderfully long life!
Yeah, even worse loosing the cats only 3 months apart.
Juno is 50lbs of solid muscle & full grown at 2 yrs. She is an anxiety ridden rescue pup from TN. She was 'labeled' as a lab/chow mix, but our vet thinks the chow is farther back in the blood line, he sooner thinks something like a shiba enu.
She melts her mama with those eyes... this is Juno at 11 wks when we first brought her home...
What a great thread, especially for those like myself who may not have 'children' but do have 'fur babies' they like to show off... :o)
My boy Scooter. He was almost 20 when I lost him...
Tred. (named such for being found in a car's wheel well sitting on a tire of a car at the mall, dropped the 'a') She passed only 3 months after Scooter at 14. They had been step-siblings for 10 yrs.
My baby girl, Juno.
~What a beautiful tot! Very Nice.
What program do you use?
~I've never tried masking. I do have older versions of Photoshop CS2 & Elements, but as of yet been a bit intimidated to take the time to check them out, especially when using the current 'simpler' program I'm using...
Thanks so much. I'm a bit indecisive. :)
I'm in trouble now. I've always said I was a 'sucker for sunsets & silhouettes' and now you've gone and started a thread including both! I just joined y'all yesterday and have work to do but now I might be here all day! <lol>
Great shots peeps! Here are a few of mine...
My fave & most popular photo...
Long Sands Beach, York, Maine. This one was a finalist for a 'Wilderness Society' contest...
Also York, Maine
;O)
I've done a couple of these, can be a little time consuming (maybe due to the simple, uncomplicated software i use; Adobe Photo Deluxe Home Edition) but I like the results.
I'm happy w/ these unless otherwise noted, thoughts...?
(my profile pic to the left is another example)
And remember; show me yours!
(...and what program did you use?)
Took this last memorial day when my girlfriend & I went to the local cemetary to lay flowers & say 'Thank You'...couldn't decide if I like the Red or Yellow carnation better...
I love this, but dissappointed in all the shadows. Hope to get back and take it again w/o so many. Was a fun stop though, got quite a history lesson from the older gentleman I talked to when I inquired about taking some photos...
I like that conversion & dramatic crop. I'm a fan of high contrast in general...
Gorgeous photos peeps! I signed up w/ a talented group I must say. The color here in my area of Upstate NY was rather lackluster this year, I think it was all the rain we've had. I rarely get the effect I want when taking fall color photos, never seems to do them justice. I'm currently using a Canon 10mp P&S & have tried the 'Foliage' & 'vivid' settings, as well as using a lower ISO to no avail, But here are a few of my faves from past yrs...
My fave; this is the road I live on (before the town came through and pushed the endge of the road back) I have it matted & framed on my LR wall, but as I was only using a 4 mp at the time, it is only an 8x10. (too bad, always thought it would make a neat mural)
On a walk down my road... (remember to look up!)
On a wknd trip to beautiful Lake Placid NY, looking out from Main St. over Mirror Lake.
Thank you!
I have a rather simple software program called Adobe Photo Deluxe Home edition that I use for restoration.
I do have Photoshop Elements 4.0 installed as well, but have not taken the time to learn to use it as the other is filling my needs. I also have a copy of Photoshop CS2... but have not even installed as I'm afraid it's 'over my head'.
I tend to keep it simple until it no longer fits my needs or does what I want, then move on when time or finances allow.
(Hence, still using a point & shoot!)
