The time has come to upgrade. What would be the best option?? (using same lenses)

I would try to replace it with a 300S rather than a 300. It is still old technology. Better to bite the bullet and go to brand new technology if possible and the D500.
Have the latest PS and Sierra and Nik no longer saves. I spoke to the new owners Cservice and they do not yet support the NIK programs. They offered no help at all.
I would like to upgrade from my D300S to newer DX camera. Would appreciate suggestions
I have a Nikon18X300 zoom and there is absolutely no loss of quality even at 300mm. I have bird pictures using also a 2x multipier and enlarged crops to 13x19 with amazing results and clarity.
Any pros or cons re: Mac Sierra?
