Probably not. However, I'd never put an off brand in my camera. On the off chance that an OEM battery ever damaged my camera I think I'd have better luck convincing the manufacturer to repair it. Put an off brand in the camera and the response will be it's not their responsibility.

Well, I just bought a Duracell for my Nikon D750. Only close place to me for camera batteries is Best Buy with re-fuel (Digipower) batteries.
The Duracell for my D750 is about 1/2 cost of Best Buy camera batteries and got it in mail in about 1 wk +free shipping

You didn't click "store original" for download, or you did but the image size is too small to generate one. Try resizing to at least 1500 px on wide side.

You don't need to start a new topic, just click "edit" to your opening (you have an hour to add a shot to the opening post before it's locked).

FYI: It was posted at that size intentionally to discourage blowups !

Not totally sure if anyone would actually consider this an unusual composition.

You may or may not be able to tell that the smokestack and the storage tanks are actually across a bayou.
My original intention was the smokestack against sunrise.

I have the Google NIK collection, and I find it to be a very useful product - I especially use Silver Efex and Color Efex. However, I don't think I've seen an update to any of these products in more than two years. Is NIK become abandonware?

Saw your post and ran across the following:

Well, I looked at a couple of full frames and went with the D750 due to reviews of it's low light capability.
If I were doing portraits and weddings I might have chosen the D810 (36mp)

I also noticed you can set crop factor on the d750 : https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjq3Y-oqeTUAhXILyYKHRrZAFAQFgg4MAI&url=http%3A%2F%2Falanhessphotography.com%2Fnikon-d750-crop-modes-and-the-mma%2F&usg=AFQjCNErHKMwU8blvl89yGxLB6qJvkQmtw

Noticed your post and this is my 2 cents worth....

[quote=Had2]Traveling and touring with family sometimes inhibits lugging a DSLR, and it would be nice to be able to minimize the compromise of using a camera with more limited capabilities. A cell phone camera is ok in a pinch, but it is much too limiting.

I actually did see a pocket camera that the clerk claimed to have a full frame sensor.
I don't remember make and model but this is where I saw it:
---------------------------------------
Bennett’s Photo
3.118 Google reviews
Print shop in Metairie, Louisiana
Resource for photography needs, from cameras & equipment to gifts, passport photos & video transfer.
Address: 3230 Severn Ave, Metairie, LA 70002
Hours: Open today · 10AM–6PM

However I no longer spend money in NOLA area since Mitch Landrieu removed historical statues.
I will drive to Orange, Tx or Houston before setting foot back in NOLA.

Some of the Best Buys do have some very knowledgeable people. This was the case when I was looking for first real camera.
Quality of people does seem to vary some from store to store.

Walmart: All that is hired is plain store clerks.
The pay is too low for quality people.

Don't want discussion, this is just my personal opinion !

I just looked on Ebay. Don't know your exact specs.

Considering most of the 18 - 55's I see on Ebay are $100 or less, I would just replace it.

Don't know what it would cost to repair at Nikon But I'm guessing that buying another new or used would be cheaper.

I'm not professional yet and this is just my opinion.
Figure out your options and $$$ cost then go from there.

It always amazes me how people can walk past some of the most beautiful scenery in the world and once past it will take picture after picture of where 70% of earth's surface meets 100% of the sky. The guy with the phone now has a picture of liquid water and water vapor and he is telling himself that his $800 phone is as good as a $5000 photography setup.

Every idiot with a cell phone camera thinks they are a photographer and that the cell phone is as good as a DSLR.

I just recently bought this one,
It takes damn good pics but doesn't do RAW.
It was a pleasant surprise finding a level built into display. (Great for level horizon)
I'm quite happy with it for an extra pocket camera.

For some unknown reason, I've always had an affinity for being around water.

I'm considering several things:

Tripod
150-600mm Telephoto lens
Tilt/shift lens if I start doing real estate photos
Maybe a full frame Nikon

Just don't want to wipe out the bank by purchasing everything at once.

Unless I missed something in the list, I didn't see any authorized Nikon dealers in Beaumont.
