Longer than you or your printer will last..... ink cartridges are where the money is......
I know someone who has.... the airline did not show up.... and he had a really strong argument.
You may find there is an issue now with shipping due to the Coronavirus. Japan Post had temporarily halted shipments to the US (I only know this as my daughter lives in Japan).... UPS and FEDEX is still an option, but is more expensive.
Check out "N Photo" -- a UK Nikon focused magazine. You can get a digital subscription on an iPad or kindle.
You can also order physical subscription... it a little pricey, but pretty good and focused content.
New stuff is more expensive in Tokyo. I have looked.
Get on the wait list... I did it last year and it was great! Crocidile Bay is a great spot. The local guides are excellent. And Steve and Rose make it a super experience.
Buy em.... you wont be disappointed and they dont really overlap.
I was in Japan a couple of weeks ago, and there were none on the shelf there either.
I was out of town when the email went out, so I just bought my copy today.
Steve's other books are great, and the e-format allows for updates.
Looking forward to this one.
I often do a lot of street photography there.
In Shinjuku, both Piss Alley and the Golden Gai present good opportunities. Shibuya crossing can be shot (thru glass) upstairs at the Starbucks. The area around Sensoji Temple in Asakusa. Akihabara, Harajuku.... it depends what you after. But in all honesty, wandering around different neighborhoods and exploring is best. I just ride the Yamonote line and get off places that look interesting.
The Narita Express offers ROUNDTRIP tickets for 4000 yen or about $35.
Well the Japan Rail pass can be a great deal or a bad deal depending on how much travelling you doing. Take a look at fares (and timetables) on hyperdia.com and compare them with the pass cost. Normally if you go from Tokyo as far as Kyoto on the Shinkansen, a JR pass is a good deal. But I not sure how much you going to travel. There are also many different, cheaper regional passes --
https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2357.htmlI think the Hakone Free pass is a 2 day (or 3 day) pass. I spent the night in Gora. I would do the same and gives you time to do what you want as opposed to be hearded with a larger tour.
I subscibe on my iPad... I like their content.
