I would have raised the camera just enough to get rid of the road, it adds nothing to the photo, or step to the left and shoot only that side minus the road.

my only advice is if you go to the Black Hills, go to the Alpine Inn in Hill City for the Fillet Mignon, its the best I've ever had

sorry to hear of the problems with the 7D, I think the outcome should be favorable because you bought from a reputable place, let us know how it works out.

everything you have posted leaves me in awe, nicely done. A question on you photo "wave breakers" was it as shot or did you add the background? Either way it is amazing, I just know that where I live we only have a handful of foggy mornings so you have to be lucky. Scott

I remember this company name and I think it is a bait and switch, if your going to spend this amount of money on something as important a camera that you will have for years, do your homework. I found several reviews that confirmed my suspicion. If I was going to buy another camera, I'd get another refurbished from canon's loyalty program, you have to trade in a old or broken canon to get the deal. I got a 7D for $1087 +tax

call Canon Directly, 1 866 443 8002 and ask for the Canon Loyalty Program, I had the website and you had to register and then they gave you the # so this will help you skip that step

Thanks to everyone...sounds like the 7D is the way to go. I don't live near a camera store. Would ordering from Amazon be ok?

I tried finding the loyalty program on Canon's website and don't see it. Where do I find the trade in info?

I've seen the show, I used some of his ideas for my own shooting, never would have tried to shoot after sunset before.

I bought a refurb 7D from Canon and it was just over $1100 but you have to trade in an old Canon. so go to goodwill buy a old canon P&S and make the swap, I'll look for the link to it and goet back to you.

its probably a scam or bait and switch, there have been a number of threads on this if it sounds too good to be true it is. Be careful your not the first to fall for it thats why people here have been saying buy from a reputable place.
