Thanks for this. I have not been able to set BB focus on my Z50 - now it is set.

I have a D850 and the Z50. I love the D850 and all of it's features (like focus stacking). I bought the Z50 as a "walk-around" camera and I also bought the 18-140 lens. It is a lot lighter than the D850, but it doesn't have in body stabilization and it is a cropped frame sensor. Over-all good quality mages, but not exceptional. If I want really good quality images I use the D850. I am not sure the Z50 is a good replacement for the D850. I think the Z7 would be a better replacement as it is also a full frame.

Great lens. I use mine with a monopod - that takes care of the weight.

I own the Nikon z50 with its 2 kit lens package (14-50mm and 50-250mm) which make wonderful images when I use them locally. I want to get one lens for travel that would make my bag light and portable, and am toying with the 18-140mm or the 24-200mm z lens. They are both full frame and the z50 is a crop sensor. Both have great reviews, but since I will be using this for travel and shooting mostly streets, architecture, people, and landscapes-typical travel stuff, I want to get the most versatility out of the lens.

I am leaning toward the 18-140 @ $600, but the 24-200 might be a better choice for the reach. It is a bit more expensive, but I am willing to spend it if it is a better option.

Thoughts?

I have the Z50 with the 18-140z lens. A great combination for walk-around or travel.

I have a Z50 (to go along with my D500 & D850). The Z50 is a good introduction to mirrorless. I find the sensor in the Z50 is amazing (better than then one in the D500). I also like the 16-50 "pancake lens especially for street photography. I bought a Z18-140 DX lens (used frim B & H), which make the Z50 a great walk-around and travel camera.

Take a look at the Nikon Z50, which is a crop frame mirrorless. Comes with a 16-50 "pancake" lens, also has a 50-250 lens available. Small. light and a great sensor. Check out Ken Rockwell's review. I use it for street photography mostly, but also it lives in my car so I always have a camera available. I have added it to my D850 and D500.

I use the Aurora Sensor Cleaning Kit. It has both wet (pre-moistened) and dry individually vacuum sealed swabs. Available from JCristina.com. Work well on my Nikon DSLR's.

My D850 is set to shoot in RAW. I know the display on the LCD on the back of the camera is a JPEG, but does the histogram reflect the JPEG or the full RAW file?

I went from a D750 to a D850 and I was amazed at the low light performance and the ability to crop the image. Also, the focus stacking feature works very well.

In my car, I always keep my camera and bag on the floor behind the driver's seat. That way it can't fall any further.

Don't forget to check out the west coast of Washington - Rialto Beach and Ruby Beach are both photographic "gems".

Have you tried back button focus? I have found that my keeper rate is near 90% since I have started to use this. Keep the focus separate from the shutter.

i have this lens and use it on a D7100. Works amazingly well. I have fine-tuned the AF (very little adjustment). Since it is a problem with 2 bodies, you should probably send it back to Tamaron.

The M.Zuiko 14-150 is a great lens for my EMD-10. I also have a M. Zuiko 9-18 that covers the rest. I rarely use my 14-42, but it is also a good lens.
