Are you home yet?
Apologies for the uber-late reply! And "LOL" to your humor! Please re-inquiry if still interested.
No scratches or blemishes to speak of; immaculate condition. Again, I purchased December 2014.
*Pic shot with 24mm LII ;)

Thank you all for the wealth of information.. To elaborate even further - I will indeed purchase several new bodies. My partner and fiancée also has an interest with photography. The plan is to have 2 shooters w/ 4 cameras total, covering different aspects of the ceremony and the reception- it is my thinking Primes can serve us well.
I have a full time job still in the military (obligation finished 2018) so during this time will be self-teaching and apprenticeship.. I am shooting a "vow renewal" in May :) I hope to post pictures.

My personal choice is to carry two bodies;
A full frame with a 50mm f1.4 for closeups and a APS-C with a 70-200 f2.8 for everything else.
The full frame on my left hip and the crop sensor on my right hip.
Is the reason you carry the 70-200mm attached to the APS-C because it gives you a better zoom (1.8x)?

Thank you all for you priceless commentary. To elaborate, I am tailing a close friend who does wedding videography (paul kwak productions // on Vimeo). I have helped as a 3rd shooter on two weddings only, but have on both occasions harassed the photographers. The last wedding presented itself a photographer who shot Nikon solely with Primes - FACT! > which spurred my interest and intrigue.
24mm, 85mm (as his long range), 14mm, and 50mm as primary portrait.
and that was it!
I understand 70-200 is a highly notorious lens and 24-70 / 24-105 comes in close second...
I guess I have to ask.. "Which zooms (preferably Canon) has the best usage and quality (notice how I didn't say versatility)?"
Also, the 600ex-rt is on my wishlist.. :)
Starting off I only have a:
Canon 6D
50mm 1.2
No flash..
I just merely getting my feet wet..
My approach is a Prime / Fixed lens approach to foster the sharpest photos possible. The inability to zoom will cause me, the shooter, to get into the best possible vantage point (the 135mm telephoto as my long-range lens).
I love the candid-ness of photography and the emotions it captures. I am a big advocate of "wide" and "ultra-wide" lenses and would like to start a thread asking: "which lens is the best for each situation?"
Here is my thinking:
50mm - Best all-around. Un-intrusive. Smaller groups.
35mm - Indoor intimate photography. Bigger Groups.
24mm - Intimate photography to also capture landscape.
135mm - Long-range prime.
14mm - Capture location, landscape and architecture.
100mm macro - Close-ups for items, things.
So, what do you all think? Would you add anything to the list (with wedding / events in mind)?
