Recording the video is not a problem. I have the large capacity cards. I just don't have a way to process/edit the videos. Suggestions?
Being I'm a Mac guy I use iMovie
Use your R6 shutter speed 60 and a fast lens (f2.8); a 128 GB fast card (1600 -2000) and you'll get 21/2 hrs + recording time. Shoot 4K a 24fps and the edit to fit.. i.e. Facebook 720. YouTube 1000
Your advantage of the R6 over a video camcorder is you can use adjust ISO for the lighting or lack thereof.
Simple and it works.
Go right back to your Canon EOS RP (new or used). You like it and it is still the lightest full frame, and the IQ is fantastic.

No comments on Glasses, which we all have and need them. But I'll share a true story of this morning.
When starting reading the UHG this morning I received a phone call from a Funeral Home wanting to stop by and discuss my future. My reply "No Thank You. I just got New Glasses so I'm good for at least the next 5 years".
Ole Norm
Over the last 30-plus years our major vacationing has been by using a Timeshare Property in Mazatlan, MX. And we're on for another 3 weeks this coming Christmas Season. We, the Timeshare Owners, maintain a website where their extra weeks or nights are offered to the public for rent or for sale. Our use and ownership has been and is a very enjoyable positive experience.
Question: How do they do in video work? Can anyone compare to a fluid head?
Come on guys, it is Shoplifting. Costco is trying to keep your purchasing cost under control. Way, To Go Costco!!
Why can't stores stop shoplifters?
More than 41% of companies in the NRF survey said no employees in their stores are allowed to stop or apprehend shoplifters. The reason for this is usually a fear of the violence and liability that could come from such confrontations. dated Nov 29, 2023. Our DAs will not enforce laws, so merchants are closing stores in troubled neighborhoods.
Give Costco credit for trying
First, we pay the annual fee, so if you don't, shop elsewhere. Costco has been and still is our number one source even being nonagenarians. However, I do wish they were still in the Photo Business, their service, quality, and pricing was first class.
Just order one of each as proofs, and let them decide which they prefer.

Saving original footage is up to you. I wouldn't use SSDs for that. I use large conventional hard drives for long term storage, and SSDs for production editing. If your content is not going to be updated later, you may choose to erase the original media and use it for new content creation. I keep a copy of what I exported for upload, but not the original files. At some point, it becomes silly and expensive to save EVERYTHING.
Modern video cameras can record far more than YouTube really shows. They are going to compress it anyway, so... I'm somewhat conservative with my bit rates and file sizes.

Burke, I've used our advice previously, and appreciate your willingness to share. All three of you who have answered has helped formulate a storage direction. Amen on saving everything, and especially the type productions we are producing.
Your last comment "I'm somewhat conservative with my bit rates and file sizes" causes me to ask another question. I've shot all my videos with a DLSR, as the lighting is poor, requiring me to shoot f2.8, ISO 1000 ~ 2500. Typically using HD 1920 x 1080 24fps (IBF). The audience are residents in a Senior Living Community and YouTube is probably the only media where these videos will every be viewed. I'm not sure that 4K and larger file sizes would enhance these productions. Am I correct in this assumption?
Gracias, Norm
Gracias! But I think I'll store this in my book of memories but not practice.
