I agree. If you are using a version of Topaz that is more than 2 upgrades old, you cannot make a fair assessment or give advice about that Topaz product. It is amazing how much it has improved. That's why I went to the monthly subscription for denoise and sharpen. Denoise is so good that I only use sharpen occasionally. In good light I normally nail the focus close enough for Lightroom adjustment only. Denoise rocks!!

Thank you so much. I found it! Not many choices, but it can be a backup to Shutterfly. I finally figured out how to order on Shutterfly while signed in so that the Costco logo shows up and I get the 51% discount, so even with shipping Shutterfly beats Amazon at least for 12X18's and 20X30's. Those are the sizes that I sell the most. Now I need to order some prints and compare the quality and possible aggravation. Ha!!

I just got my pics back from Amazon so I was able to compare to the Snapfish photos.
There are no Shutterfly photos because I decided I didn't want to do business with a company that wouldn't help solve a problem.
I went to Snapfish next and it was laughable how easy it was to setup my account and order pics. About 10 minutes start to finish. Snapfish is the discount part of Shutterfly.
I like them because they quoted a reasonable delivery time and then bested that by 5 days. Their pricing is ok but on small orders like mine the $10.00 freight is tough. Also their paper / printing size make for some interesting cropping.

after I discovered Amazon, I found 4 images I wanted to try at 12" x 18"
Their delivery time wasn't bad. they bested the quoted time by three days. They use UPS for del. instead of USPO. I like that. The prints go on the porch not in the mail box.
Both companies use the same packaging which was good because it helped me to see the different quality in the print papers between the two companies.
Snapfish paper was thiner and had to lay flat for a couple of days to get the curl out before it was flat. The Amazon paper was heavier and laid flat right away.
I have amazon prime so freight was free, I don't know the cost for frt. if you are not a prime member.
I hope this is useful.
I just got my pics back from Amazon so I was able ... (show quote)

Does Amazon actually do prints? I went to Amazon prime and searched. I found many prime options done by different sellers with free prime shipping. Did you order from one of those? If not, please explain how to find Amazon photo?

I have used Snapfish to do my annual friends and family calendars each year, always with a minimum of 50% off. Their shipping cost became so ridiculously high about 3 or 4 years ago that switched to Costco. Sadly, I may have to go back and watch for sales of more than 50% off.

I will sell it to you if you pay the shipping and any import or other taxes due in addition to the asking price. I need to be paid through PayPal, as specified in the rules on this site.

If you have a Payboo credit card, the sales taxes are still applied by B&H and remitted to your state. They then give you an immediate discount on the product in the form of a credit to your Payboo account in the amount of the sales taxes. You do not need to report the purchase to your state.

Still available:
I have a Canon EF 100mm macro f2.8 lens in almost new condition for $440. It was only used a few times before I lost interest in macro.

Also, an EF Canon 1.4X III extender for $340. It was used only a handful of times and is in like-new condition.

I have sold the rest of my lenses and gone mirrorless and it is obvious that I will no longer use these.

For photos of the extender, please message me.

Hi, all. Perhaps this isn't "quite" the right place for this, but I have a question about Vantage Travel. They have a number of "expedition" trips that imply an emphasis on photography, at least getting you to some interesting places and subjects. Anyone have any experience with this company? Are their tours good? Is it a good company? Any advice/comments appreciated!

My favorite cruise was a European river cruise with Vantage. I talked to other travelers that told me that Vantage has better food than Viking. All I know is that their food, itinerary and service were excellent. True that the french balconies can't be walked out on, however, we stayed in a cabin near the stern and a few steps took us to the back where I took lots of photos. Plus, the whole rooftop area is great for watching the land go by and taking photos.

I'm so glad that my post has had a lot of interest! I found a good solution for me without having to calibrate this brand new Dell xps laptop. I could never find a way to simply tweak the saturation, until I changed a setting to put it into HDR mode. It worked like a charm. Now I have a different problem. When I use my GE hub to mirror the screen onto my old, large monitor using an hdmi cord,, it goes back to being oversaturated on the laptop! I wonder if that's because my old monitor doesn't support HDR mode.

Thanks. I regularly calibrate my large monitor, which I connect to when I edit photos. I didn't find the need to calibrate my 4-year-old Dell laptop. The difference was very slight between them (less contrast and a hair warmer on the monitor vs the laptop screen). The prints that I sell (generally 16" x 24") come out very good. I do want my new laptop to be close because I am blown away by the difference in detail that I am seeing on its display and I do use it to edit when I am traveling and can't connect to the big monitor. Now that I have seen what 3456X2160 looks like, I want a new large monitor!! Guess I'll save up my money!

I just got a new Dell laptop with 3456x2160 native display and Windows 11. Just looking at my wallpaper photo, which I took myself, it seems to display a bit over-saturated and it was also too bright. The colors look good. I adjusted the brightness down a bit, but am unsure whether to calibrate it. When I started to calibrate using the Windows tool, I got a warning that changing it might prevent it from displaying the full gamut of colors. What do you UHH peeps recommend?
