Have you exhausted the free video training from the support section of Adobe.com ('free' with your subscription)? Have you exhausted the free training from utube, such as the videos from Anthony Morganti? I can't speak for any books, but I think 'free' is better.

I cut my Lightroom teeth on Scott Kelby's Lightroom 5 book. He has since been produciing another one for every new Lightroom iteration. Highly recommend. I understand the desire for an actual book. You can take notes of something to remember and bookmark things that you'll probably forget and need to look up again!

Requires a subscription, but Kelby’s videos on Lr are very helpful with organizing photos logically and with Lr updates, and you have access to all the other videos on myriad photography topics. A nice way to be up and running on topics quickly! Worth the money, IMO.

Agree, I found the Anthony Morganti videos to be the best way to learn LRC and PS.

There are two parts to learning Lightroom. One is how to edit the image to your taste. The other is how to deal with the catalog, which is where we all have gotten stuck and those trying to learn it today get stuck. There are many many video tutorials, most of them free, on YouTube - I like Aaron Nace (Phlearn) for his straightforward, clean teaching/demo style. I also like Unmesh Dinda (Piximperfect) for his extremely deep and broad treatment - Both of these guys really know their stuff and make it easy to learn what you need to know.

Free and Visual. In my eager youth I bought Kelby's book on LR. While I like his writing style, showing pictures of panels and some words to suggest what to do, is no where close to being as helpful as a video with every move in front of you.

I too have been a big fan of Morganti since version 5, and his weekly hints Email are priceless. In his weekly update you get more videos on major fixes, new functions and neat features kind of hidden. Start here and dial in LRc

I like Kelby's books, too. However, a great reference is Victoria Bampton's ("The Lightroom Queen") "Lightroom Classic - the Missing FAQ." https://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Photoshop-Lightroom-Classic-Questions-ebook/dp/B08MWJGC5V/ref=sr_1_9?crid=1WSOCS06BZESB&keywords=kelby+lightroom&qid=1642091248&sprefix=kelby+light%2Caps%2C185&sr=8-9

There are books, and of course Lightroom Queen, but one of the best sources are on Creativelive.com. They have several courses, from the quick ones on files, catalogs and storage to much more in depth classes on Development and everything else Lightroom offers. The same goes for courses on Photoshop. And you can rerun and repeat lessons or parts of lessons as often as you need.

https://www.jkost.com is Julieanne Kost’s site. She’s an Adobe master trainer, great photographer, and creates great training content. I’ve seen her live a few times, and highly recommend her work.

I like her now but did not in the beginning. She is so knowledgeable and simply packs too much into each video. She is like reading a history book with 12 facts in each and every sentence.
