I've been using PSE 2018 since it came out and it's served me well. Still works as good as new but is getting to be a bit long of tooth and I'm guessing there've been some improvements. Adobe is offering me a 30% discount on the 2034 version so I'd like hear what others think of the edition.

Does your camera manufacturer provide a free editor. Canon provides DPP which is a RAW and JPEG editor.

Elements+ for $12 or so can unlock many features of PSE 18.

It all depends on what you need/want. If the feature adds from 2021 to 2024 seem valuable to you you can be sure the 2018 to 2024 changes will be even more strong.

$9.99/month times 12 equals $119.88 total, same as one-time annual fee. Easier to budget for some folks since income is probably also monthly.

Fred is correct. "T" give the tool bar icons. The drop arrow shows/hides the thumbnail images.

It is approaching the end of the time when Canon will service it. Need to move now and hope they still have sufficient parts.

There is this as well:

A less sophisticated version can be created using a parade flag holder.

Earlier this year I purchased an r7 and love it ,but it was a big step up from my old 60d. Lots to learn. I know I can access the owners manual online, but I would also like a printed non canon manual that I could use. Just wandering if anyone had any recommendations?

It depends on what deficiencies the individual lens has as well as the type of image. A lens with barrel or pincushion distortion could cause visual issues in architectural images but probably not discernible in a landscape shot.

Elements+ is a software product that can add many features to your software.

I want to copy photos from my Z8/Z7ii to my IPad. I believe a camera adapter is needed between the two. Is that correct? Suggestions for a good adapter?

I presume I have to get a card reader that is specifically designed for a CF Express card? I have a reader for my XQD card in my D850, that reader was made by the same company that made the XQD card. I have a SanDisk CF Express card for my Z8, is it better to get a SanDisk reader too?

I was just notified this morning that there was an update for "Photoshop Camera Raw." Is it now "PCR" instead of "ACR"?

I believe Photoshop Camera Raw is the name of the filter in Ps. It has the same features as ACR. ACR is a standalone program.

Now this is concerning to me, because when I was showing a friend the options for the various Adobe cloud subscriptions I saw that there is no longer a 30 (0r 7) day free trial period with LR Classic - only with Lightroom (cloud). Is it possible that Adobe is going to abandon LRC altogether?

Free trial still there:

No, but I am intrigued. I was organizing my photos in Windows for years before ever installing Lightroom. I don't want it organizing my images. I'll have to check this out.

Here is what it does.

Like a lot of people, whenever I go on a photo trip where I am spending multiple days photographing, I like to take a lap top with me. Every night I will copy the images to my lap top to review the photos. I don’t spend much time tweaking them, but I review to see what they look like and if, maybe I need to reshoot at that location. I do most of the work on the images on my desktop when I get home. My lap top has failed and needs to be replaced. My family is suggesting that I buy an iPad instead of a lap top. I have found out that Lightroom will work on an iPad. Has anyone used an iPad in this way and/or what would be your recommendations concerning this issue?

First and foremost — *Canon will not charge you for help*!! You’ve dialed a spoofing number. Go to USA.canon.com (on tablet and don’t know how to copy exact link) and then find their ‘support’ page for the correct phone number.

But also, I would agree with the several comments about using 3d party inks - especially the ‘bargain’ brands. (There are some, such as precisioncolors.com that have reputations for top quality products and good communication with customers.)

You may have to purchase and install a new print head - probably around $200 to $300 - or just replace the printer with a newer Pro-200 model. OEM ink is less expensive on the newer Pro-200, but still not cheap.

Let us know your final decision/results - and good luck!

Here is the official Canon USA support page for the Pro-100:

https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/pixma-pro-100

Go there, register your product and the request support.

There may be a fee for out of production products but it won't be a scam.
