And you're still walking and talking after asking your lovely bride why she has so many purses?

That the first camera I used a Petri 7s. I don't have that one anymore but I have a couple of the same model and the meter is still working quite well but battery powered cameras are better.

I purchased a Petri7S from the Navy PX located in Siagon's Cholon Dixtric in 1964. Great camera, wished I still had it.

For whom are you taking the photograph?

My approach is to photograph things/scenes/people that interest me and adds to my pleasures or understandings. if somewhere along the way they pique the interests of other folks so much the better. It may tell a story for me but not for anyone else. But I have found, even among family and friends, that what I like may not be what they like. It is something I can't do anything about except to try to look at things the way I think they may, sometimes it works, more often it doesn't so I look for those things that capture my attention and go from there.

It's a constant surprise to me the depth of the dickishness, the breadth of insecurity, and the intractable tendency to simply piss all over the floor rather than engage rationally, for no purpose other than to stroke one's ineffectual ego. I don't understand why there is so much of that on this forum. I know we get grumpier as we get older (I certainly have), but some appear to have lost their wits and resorted to spit.

Well said Nick Gee.
It always amazes me the negative responses a lot of the posts generate. Hey, if it works for the poster more power to them. If it doesn't work for you post why but don't denigrate the posting person. Many of us who tune in to UHH are looking for some tips, tricks, etc. that may help us in our quest to improve our photography, the negative attacks on the personage is a big turn-off.

Some good information, thanks. Never thought about the 28mm for the 7500, will have to investigate that.

Two wives! Not only expensive but exhausting trying to keep them separated.

Well, as the saying goes, "Yesterday I was tired, today I'm retired!" So, being in the retired mode I can access UHH just about anytime the mood hits me. Nice to be able to do that, but to all you out there who haven't quite reached that point, " Soldier on, it'll come all too soon."

Yep, I was in the same boat a few years back - failed business and back payroll taxes. The IRS looked at me like I was Jessie James robbing a bank. Had to sell my primary real estate to get them off my back.

My preference would be the second one as the subject, the beetle, is more prominent.

Thanks Doc, I appreciate the information. Fortunately, this was years ago due to a failed business and I am shed of them except for the usual tax filing in April every year. My apologies for leaving you hanging there, I should have been more forthcoming with the end results.
