New Camera Bag

I decided to get a new camera bag - not a backpack. I don't like my cameras floating around on their own. (No, I'm not living in outer space.) I like to have the camera and its related gear all in one place. I thought about getting a large tool box and adding padding, but then I'd have to add a shoulder strap.

I ordered the "Amazon Basics Large DSLR Gadget Bag (Orange interior)" for $32.99. It's large enough, and the price is good. I won't be traveling with this every day, so I'm sure it will hold up okay.

I don't know if you've ever heard of a large store called Lechemere, but I got two large camera bags from them probably thirty years ago, and they're still like new. I should have bought more before they went out of business.

I'm never decided about which of the bags I have. My wife once asked me why I have so many (not that many!) and I asked her why she has so many purses.
Right now, I'm using a "sling" style with side entry. Guess it will suit me for a while.

I have too many backpack-type bags, but I prefer something I can carry easily.

I've used these for the last 20 years. https://condoroutdoor.com/products/condor-tactical-response-bailout-bag?_pos=96&_fid=eb3d2b9bf&_ss=c

I'm now up to numerous ones for various cameras, lenses, etc.

The number of camera bag and purse comparison is not one I would recommend you make with your wife. You are guaranteed to lose!

I don't have a 3-D printed handgun or ammo, so those pockets would go to waste. I do have tactical pants, though, and they have a pocket for an ammo clip. Maybe I should get some ammo.

The sling-style only has a single shoulder loop(?), so it is not as cumbersome as a normal backpack.
I can't deal with a typical backpack for photo equipment.

I have one or two of them, but I seldom use them. I should take another look.

Finding the right camera bag is one of the most difficult things in photography.

If an old camera is the only tool you have in your bag of tricks, you need a new bag.

I hate those sling bags. Lol. See? Everyone has a different preference.

That’s why there are more bag choices than photographers.

Neither do I, Jerry. However, those compartments don't go to waste.

And cameras, and lenses, and tripods...
