Thanks Pat, I do have dropbox installed, but have not used it. I do have to send 2 images at once. I do see there is help for using or sending files/folders, but have not really delved into how to do what when it comes to folders. I do not have time now, gotta go warm up my car and get the ice off it and take off.

I have been asked to send high resolution photos. If i have a high res photo and If I just hit "send to mail recipient" it seems to automatically cut it down so it is no longer high resolution. If I have a high res photo and click on the icon on the email page and select the photo, it is so huge it covers the screen several times but then is blurry. I am confused as to what they want. Is the huge picture the proper way to send?

Thank you Plessner. I try to make it all my fun now. but some of it does get to be real work. Oh well the two are hard to separate. I am having my camera club over next week for a potluck -working session. So I need to do some house cleaning done(work)So i can enjoy the people when they come(fun). Whatever one calls it, keeping busy and productive is the best thing for me right now. There is plenty of both for me to get done. yesterday i went with some friends on a raptor count of a fairly local area. even with the frost, snow, icy roads, cold feet, it was quite a fun day. I took a few pictures. Nothing i'd care to send in to UHH

When My husband had his stroke, I knew he's not have use for the basement rooms, so i decided to turn it into a studio apartment so maybe i could get some one to live there and help with his care. This was a storage area, meant to be a darkroom when we built the house, so i turned it into a kitchen. I tried to enlarge the view by painting a mural on the wall. I just built everything of scrap lumber, and thrift store paint and stuff, so i used fabric in the cabinet doors to make the lumber go farther. This room was just open shelves, unfinished drywall. There are still a few little things to do. A few more mistakes to make...er...correct. I also did a bathroom. So it is almost ready for the help that i no longer need. The little red fox quilt is based on a book I just read "Snow child" it will be part of a display a quilter's group is doing. I am also finishing a quilt bedspread for the apartment. I better get off this computer.

pg. 26: Birdie, I am so sorry for your loss. I pray God blesses you, by giving you peace of mind, heart and soul. jd

Thank you everyone, I think I am doing quite well, and moving along, trying to keep my interests going and UHH sure is a place to do that. There are so many things to keep me interested. I am sort of an AADD (adult deficit disorder) person unless I am watching birds. Funny how that works, I can sit still for hours waiting for a good shot of a bird, and i stick to anything else for maybe 10 minutes at a time. so running in every little bit to check my computer is part of the game. it works for me. Thanks for being there.

pushing did not work

so I took him home for gas

he poured it in the tank then...

Thank you both Janice and Nan for your kind words. In the process of posting i found a few gaps in my photographs, so i have fixed some of that. I could not find a picture of the squirrel after i completed it nor the 2nd poppy so I have dealt with that now. So let me see what red i can come up with.

I was with you until late March. Then my husband had a severe stroke, So I was suddenly gone, and am just getting back, to see things have changed while I was gone. The short of it is, Dean passed away Aug.31st and i have been working to unscramble my house,my head, and my life. I just came back to UHH last week and see a lot has changed, a lot has stayed the same, and a lot of bonding has happened while I was gone. I have been able to keep my photography going little bits, now and again, and finished the quilt I had started when he got sick. Lo and behold, it has red, and so does the one i am doing now, and the three I did last year, and so in spite of all the white outside right now, I have plenty of red to get me going on this challenge

finding a good sunsrise is mostly serendipity, but working at it might be even better. Get up early, drive out where you could see a sunrise. It might happen, or you might find something else wonderful to photograph. You never know, unless you are there. I have one particular photo that I remember being asked "How do you get a photo like that" I said, " first you get up before sunrise and get there...The asker said "forget it"

This was the photo

beautiful pictures! My latest kingfisher hole turned out to be my goldfish pond, and he did not even let me get a shot as he left with a goldfish in his mouth. The pond is currently under ice and snow, which should save the remaining fish for the time being.

I took a lot of photos of this guy who was sitting in a tree across the river with the evening sky behind him. It was a very uninteresting sky so I tried several things on it.

No, go right ahead. Do you see the little shack up there? it used to stick out like a sore thumb, but it sort of blends in in the half dark and the snow.

No long johns for this one. I just stepped up to the French doors and snapped it through the window. Never mind it was 12 degrees.
