Drone Shot of our convoy rolling into camp on an off-road trip. This was night one of a 4 night trip from Mojave Desert to the Eastern Sierra through Death Valley. Not much I can say from this trip other than it was cold and clear night skies unfortunately I did not have why astro Lense with me.
I will definitely have to look into this book. Lighting with portraits is everything and I'm not so used to staging subject to gain the best lighting and effect. Thanks for the recommendation.
I am just kind of getting into portrait photography so I am making my girlfriend be my test subject for a while to get comfortable with posing and focusing on lighting. Let me know what you guys think of these shots. ANY and ALL Critique ia welcomed as I am getting out of my comfort zone for this. Shot on Canon 80D with Nifty 50mm. First shot was f2.8 at 1/400th 160iso and the second shot was f1.8 1/160th sec and 100iso.
You probably recognize this place from movies, commercials and so on. . Grew up in this area and always spent my time here on weekends. Either going up to Whitney portal or camping in the hills or at the portal campgrounds. Its nice to be able to capture it the way I have always seen it.
I had the opportunity to go to an event held by a local photography group at night. This is one of my favorite shots from the whole night.
I've read that the Nikon has a lot more color and image quality over my DSLR that I have right now and it sure does. Thanks for sharing these great photos.
Good suggestions from everyone. I'm just looking to upgrade from my Olympus E-620 to the D90 or even the 7100, something that has video capabilities as I'm trying to get into recording and editing on my own. But thanks to evryone for the advice and I'll have to look around and think about the upgrade. If I don't choose the nikon I'll probably stick with the Olympus E M-10.
Took a helicopter ride around San Diego a few months back.
I was wondering what people think of the Nikon D90 and the 18-105mm VR lens. what is the image quality like, what are (in your opinion) the pros and cons of the camera. I know its only 12.3 MP but I'm not really worries about the MP. Post Photos you have taken with the D90 and18-105 or just the D90 but mention what lens you used (preferably unedited)
Thanks Everyone!
I can't seem to find any forum or article about cleaning my E-620. When I do do find an article, there isn't a reply. Sooo any info on what type of sensor swabs I need and what type of sensor cleaner is best.
Honestly, he should have never come out with this information... imagine the bounty that is now being put on him now...
I was wondering if anyone on here has experience shooting at a High School football game. I'm using my Olympus E-620 with a 70-300mm 1:4-4.6 and any tips and suggestions on which aperture and shutter speed to use. I was honestly planning on shooting on the sport mode. But I would like to know before I go and shoot in that mode.
I would also include set a timer on your camera or use the remote. Those two plus a faster shutter speed would work best for moon photography. Because your moon is so enlarged I can tell your using a telephoto lens, so try not to be around your camera when taking the picture as it causes easy lens camera shake.

Thanks Jack I also got my acceptance letter from Brooks. Going up again here in a couple weeks to visit the Santa Barbra campus.
I might go get one from Best Buy or something... I've seen some kids treat our $600 cameras and film cameras like crap soo...
