My HP Office jet 5255 inkjet printer has started to not recognize ink cartridges, both from the original HP ones to refilled ones from other sources. When I turn it on, before it starts to print, I get the message to take out and then re-seat the cartridges. Once I do this then the printer works OK unless it sits idle for a while. Does anyone have any idea of what is going on? I cannot find a phone number to talk to an HP support person. If anyone has a tech support number, I would appreciate having it.

Thanks in advance to any ideas or help on this issue.

Joe

I just put them in a spreadsheet. I used to use paper but with occasional changes and additions it got cumbersome and a piece of paper can get lost. With a spreadsheet I can add a site that needs a password, change an existing password, put them all in alphabetical order by site so I can find the one I want in the two pages of sites and passwords. When I add and/or change a password I change the name of the file to include the current date. That gives me a history of all the changes. I can keep a copy of the spreadsheet on all my computers.

I also have them in a spreadsheet. It is not on any PC. I keep it on a flash drive only. If someone gets a PC they can't get my passwords.

I think a password manager program would be beneficial for me. Your recommendations for an easy, free password manager program would be welcome. Thanks.

I have used Roboform for many years. It works great for me.

My cousin's new pup. She was asking for name suggestions. My first thought was bear, looks like one to me. I then learned it is a female. Bear just isn't a feminine name. So any suggestions hoggers?

I had a blue chow named Eclipse -- meaning the dawning of the light.

Last year I attended a 3-day conference, Women of Vision, sponsored by Hunt's Photo. It was fabulous and I just found out they're doing it again! It starts March 24. It was worth every moment, I'm still referring to my notes from it.

My computer has stopped letting me download anything. If I click on download nothing happens. It used to show it downloading. Now it shows nothing and I don't get the download. Running windows 10 on PC. Anyone else ever had this problem?

Do you change where to download is being saved? I save all downloads to my desktop. After I install it, I move it to my downloads folder.

I would recommend against Kaspersky because it is a Russian company. I use
ESET which runs quietly in the background, and is not a space hog.

I organize my photos on my main hard drive in a pictures folder. The each subfolder is titled by the shooting location with the date following it. Then I import into Lightroom. Once you import them into Lightroom only move and make changes in Lightroom. It will "fix" your hard drive folder.

Starting on May 2, there will be five days of Photoshop classes by Professional Photoshop Gurus. You can get a free pass to watch whatever topic you are interested in and will have 48 hours to watch the replay. Right now there is also an option to purchase the entire 5 days at a earlier bird special. Here is the link for more information

Here is the link to download a PDF class schedule.

I have participated in this for the past 3 years. The instructors and their videos are great. This year I chose to pay the $99 for it, because the instructors are paid based on the amount received from paid participants. Also, you have it for "life".

Had no choice, the old one was on its last legs. Several hours in and have reached basic functionality. A serious PITA, and more hours ahead, not to be taken lightly.

I used Zinstall when I bought a new PC. The only issue I had was that I had 2 internal hard drives, and I could not specify what should be moved to each drive. I had a few issues to fix after the system ran. Another one that is supposed to be good is PCMover.

Correct me if wrong but the difference this year is the amount and the number of t***saction isn’t it ?

There are many Forms 1099. If you are talking about the 1099-K, I have not researched the specifics yet. Previously it was 200 t***sactions and $20,000 in sales. I prepared a tax return for an individual who had over $30,000 in sales but less that 200 t***sactions. She did not receive a Form 1099-K, had not documented her expenses, and chose hot to report the income. That prevented her from getting the child tax credit and the EIC. She hurt herself but making that choice. The income should have been reported minus expenses.

I never intended to give an opinion I merely told you facts.

Now if you want opinion -
I don’t think a 1099 from PayPal obligates one to report that as income to irs unless you are doing it on a “ regular basis “.
As that is the definition from its of a business venture.

I am a tax preparer. If you receive a form 1099 from anyone and it shows income you are required to report it on your tax return.

Yep.
The $600 rule is NOT a new tax as some are purporting. It is simply a direct mandate from Biden to the IRS to force a wide variety of businesses to rat outvtheir customers to the IRS for tax persecution.

This was initially proposed, but rejected. It would have been almost impossible to monitor and maintain. It has been reverted to the original amount of $10,000. Research it.
