My Quicken subscription ($52) is about to expire, but it seems that I can still use it without subscribing. It will have a banner saying it has expired. Is that banner a problem?

Certain things won't work like direct connections to your financial institutions. You can still go to each site and download transactions to import though.

From their web site, I get the impression that the program will work - with that "Not Subscribed" banner - but it won't connect to other sites. That's fine with me, as long as the banner doesn't interfere with using it. I'd like to hear from non-subscribed users to see what their experience has been. I've been getting Quicken updates at least once a week, but nothing seems to have changed.

I'm still using Quicken 2007, works just fine.
I've no need to "connect" to anything.

The banner may take up to 20% of your screen.
A hassle, but something you can learn to live with.
There are literally years of discussion in Quicken forum groups about how to get rid of the nag screen, but every time a solution is found, the Quicken people revise the software to keep the nag screen in place.

Quit downloading updates?
If one is paying for the use of the software, the nag screen should not be there?

My old Quicken stopped working, so I had to update.

Nagging is not a good business plan.

I wonder why. Mine still works fine.

Yeaaaa. That may happen when my Win 7 boxes quit and I'm forced into Win 11 or 12 or whatever the version will be at that time.

Jerry - I think you will no longer be able to download transactions from your bank which makes reconciling your account very easy.

Try Personal Capital. It is free and works for me.

Yeah, that screen pi**ed me off so I found an inexpensive replacement that has a good free or better paid program called Moneyspire...simple to convert to and good tutorials!!
