Here are a few more from the park, just the same old, same old for the most part. All were taken wit Sony's kit lens for the A7C.

Thanks for the support. After 50 years of my photography I generally know what decent and what's not. Amazing at time that some folks like the worst of ones work.

IMO street photography is always ambiguous, showing (but not telling about) people in their urban environment. Giving titles to photographs takes away the uncertainty, the puzzle of the moment captured. Leave the interpretation to the viewer. A building alone is not usually ambiguous. It stands for itself.

So these are two of my best… street photography?

I have lots people shots dating back to Nixon’s visit to Savannah when the SCAD library was Levy’s Dept.Store.

If there are no people? I’ve lived around Savannah, GA for 40+ years, even worked for the City for 3 years. While I was downtown last week in search of interesting people pix, I see this building that I’d never noticed before. The details, colors tell me it had been recently restored.

Last year I got a Sony A7C in an attempt to lighten my load. Recently I acquired some lenses, one is Sony’s 20mm f1.8 G master. I took there with it most required serious cropping.

Agree. The eye is still the same. The bits n pieces between the eye and real
Life are incidental.

If one has never used film (and I’m sure there are many) then curiosity might entertain them but at some expense. It’s not that there is no value to the old media, but today's requirement for speed brought on by the nature of social media, not art, makes film obsolete.

I think it’s just somewhat of a “thing” to be different. I once owned a Leica M6 when it was new and digital didn’t exist, ca 1998. Loved that camera and would like to have it back. Kind of like you wish you could get a Porsche GT3 with a manual transmission. But my first real digital camera, a Canon 5D Mk II still produces great photos for my hobby. I added a Sony A7C with a bunch of G Master lenses that is still less expensive than a new M6 body! There will always be a niche for film for those who enjoy it. But it’s day has past. Digital is for now and the near future until quantum computing comes up with something else.

Yes , I do like what I saw. Citing the camera/lens combo is just give others an idea of quality (ok) by the small FF mirror less camera and the lens. I only do minor edits in Photos. I don’t use any Adobe program. As for your snide comment, I’ve been taking photos since the 1960s. A few have been published along the way. I too don’t believe the camera is the end all. It doesn’t make one a better photographer. It’s the eye that counts most. That said I started with a Canon Pellix, Leica f3, then a Canon F-1, Leica M6, Canon 5D MkII (still have) and the Sony. At 80, I don’t want to spend a lot of time hauling the Canon around, hence the small camera. I suppose you are impostor UHH, but not to me.
