We'd just had some snow come through the area, but the weather forecasters stated that the sun was going to shine. That meant to me that it was a good time for a walk, without my doggies. They usually accompany me, but I felt like being alone and not having to worry about wandering canines.
!!!!There is a graphic picture (#5) of a rabbit, not for the faint of heart, so bypass it if needed!!!!
The day started out sunny, but by the time I reached the aspen tree, it became mostly cloudy with brief periods of sunshine. The tire tracks also ended at this point, but old snowmobile tracks made the walk more pleasant, until I reached Elk Ridge, which had a lot of drifted snow. I planned on taking a short stroll, but somehow the stroll seemed to extend further and further. The whole trip up was about 4.5 miles, and back, just under 3.25 with an altitude gain of 1448 feet. Coming back I took a more direct route because it was getting dark and I'm scared of the dark (don't tell anyone. It'll be our secret).

Nice images. Looks cold, but very beautiful.

Saying hello from Southeast, Kansas! If you want to know anything...please ask. I'm up to learning more about the recent upgrade from my Lumix to my first dslr. I loved my Lumix but here is my first sunset from my new dslr Canon. I am hoping to be with it for a long time but my Lumix still remains my go to. I'm pleased to be here and meet you all...with that Happy Shooting! ...Dotty

Welcome to the Hog! Beautiful sunsets. I shoot with Canon as well, and I love it. Happy shooting, and I can't wait to see more pictures.

Took a little trip down the coast last friday photographing the high surf but got distracted by the blooming mustard weeds.

Beautiful Landscapes. #4 is my fav. I like the symmetry, and the contrast of the yellow flowers and the blue sky. No other distractions. I like the lighthouse ones as well, but #4 the best!

Here's a photo of one of our squirrels eating a mini peanut butter sandwich made by my wife this winter. Needless to say they really love them!

Nice capture. Such a cute squirrel, you captured all the details perfectly.
