Here's a photo of one of our squirrels eating a mini peanut butter sandwich made by my wife this winter. Needless to say they really love them!

Thanks tresap. Easier to feed them rather than to try to keep them away from your birdfeeders .

What cute critters and I love the idea of making them little sandwiches. I am not supposed to put a bird feeder out where I live, but no one said I couldn't feed sandwiches to the squirrels that like to play on my balcony. I'll have to get some peanut butter for them.

Great shot ! Give your other half a huge hug and a kiss for so many of us out here. I have always loved these beautiful and furry sweethearts. They have a really difficult life (especially here in Minnesota) and need all the human assistance they can get. Also, I have NEVER referred to them as "tree rats" as is noted all to often at this site.
I sincerely hope you and your wife keep up your wonderful mission.
