I've seen selections on several photo editing websites for making a collage of pictures. Most have forms that allow 10 or less photos. Then I tried Photoshop with layers and that didn't work at my first attempt so I was about to go look at You Tube videos for layers instructions.

Then today I see this discussion about PSE vs. LR and I find out I'm not alone in plowing through instructions to learn PSE. I've done pretty well over the years but never needed layers before. Now I've decided to ask for advice on any software that can help me make a large collage (16x20 ??) that includes 20 or 30 photos.

Any suggestions other than learning PSE layers and stacking 30 photos?

Thank you in advance for what always seems to be excellent advice.

I had the Canon mount Gen 1, returned it as the autofocus was slow and not that consistent. At the time I had the 5D3. There might have been a firmware upgrade - that’s worth checking. Gen II is much better. If you can, check it on a moving subject

Had the same problem that’s why I went to the gen ii

I had the same set up and found it to be very good until I tried the gen II of this he same lens and when used on the same body found it much better. I sold I for the II but the price is good I sold mine for $600 and was truly like new.

Carbon fiber was over my budget but glad it works well.

Keep checking craigslist or market place on Facebook. That’s where I found mine at half the price of a new one and was in new condition. Good luck in your search.

I really love mine.
I got the 4 section one (190) and it fits in a small bag with a shoulder strap and is totally unnoticeable when I carry it.
Easily holds steady a 7D with the 100-400mm MII.
Also incredibly versatile.

I have the same setup only the carbon fiber model. Works great!
