Everything needs to be done in LR. Delete the photo in LR
I'm looking for advise on the best way to convert my photo's that I have in many albums and would like to scan and put on an s/d card and would like to bring them into LR Classic to catalog them. Can I just use the scanner from my HP 660, or migrate them directly on to my MacBook Pro or do I need something else.
I had my d750 serviced by Nikon in Melville NY, not being to far from my home I dropped it off there. One week later a Nikon tech call and said my camera was ready to pick up. I had asked him how many shutter activation he told me around 12,000, I asked if the shutter activations could be reset to zero, the response of THAT'S A GOOD QUESTION, kind of startled me. he just told me to subtract 12,000 off the count.
But all in all camera was updated and everything seems to be working perfectly.
Over all a good experience.
I have two WD Passports that I've used for a little over 2yrs. now. I use one to store my photos, and the other as a backup using a program called GoodSync. Free 30 day trial or 30 bucks. Works great
Go to a page called LightRoom Help Group. Join the group and ask away. There are very talented people there. I have had issues with LR and have gotten my problems resolved.
I have a MacBook Pro mid 2014 and use LR-cc & PS with no problems at all. I have a 500gb onboard ssd plus two WD external hd. Very Happy with it!!
BTW
I'm shooting with a Nikon d750
I would like to use a teleconverter on a Nikon 200-500mm but I see the tciii 1.7 and 2.0 does not allow autofocus. Do any fellow Hoggers have an opinion? Would like to get the furthest reach possible for birds and nature shots. Any opinions on the Nikon tciii 1.4?
Well this is what I do not saying it's the right way but, I import my photos into Lightroom CC from the SD card I just use for my shoot, then scan which ones I don't want then delete them. When I'm done with that on a XHD labeled My Photo's and drag my keepers into a folder I just created. When I'm done editing or done for the day I backup My Photo's XHD to a second XHD named My Photo's Backup, using a Program called GoodSync. Once the photos are on my 2 XHD's I can delete them off my SD card, but usually don't, I keep the SD cards for a while (three months) and rotate them out. I also backup my Mac Notebook once a month with an additional 4TB. Paranoid I guess. One other thing when exiting Lightroom CC I save the catalog info to my externals also.
Thanks to everyone for your comments
I have four lens. 2,that are 77mm 1,is 67mm and 1,is 62mm. Looking to buy a 3 stop & a 6 stop Neutral Density Filter. What size filter and what size adapter should I buy?
I want rename a xhd do I need to do it inside LR or can I do it on my desktop. I want to make sure LR will recognize the xhd once I re-name it.
Thank you all for your input. In looking around on youtube I'm wondering how Lee filters match up. It looks that may be another solution. I want to shoot landscapes and water scenes, long exposures
Looking to purchase a ND filter. Any comments or suggestions?
I bought a RRS with their ball head and quick release plate. Very happy
