Isn't that a chinese pheasant?
When I was a small child, I found one of these "horny toads" (that's what we called it, anyway- in the 1st 2 pics) in the desert in Arizona when on vacation. I was allowed to keep it for a while. It was hard on the top, real soft on the underbelly and got real calm when I rubbed it's belly. It calmly crawled up and down my arms. Then I had to leave it in an open box in a garage overnite. The next day when I reached in to pick it up, it "spit fire" at me- so it had to go.....
Thanks for all the input. In a distracted moment I ordered a set of 58mm filters with adapter on Ebay. I guess it was because it was the most complete set for the money. I will let you know how it works out. I will have 30 days to return it. Always open to advice and input.
Nicely done! I vote for the sepia ones.
Will the 58mm filters work ok on my canon sx50?
Beautiful pics- great job. The beak on that scary looking bird could give me nightmares. I'm curious what God, in his infinite wisdom, designed that beak for?????
This print is breathtaking.
I 100% like #1 with the green leave background
Nice pics. I like to see antiques in their untouched "natural habitat" as in #1. Think of the stories those tractors w

Birth is an accident.
What in the world.....??? Ask the mother of any species (human, animal, etc) if giving birth occurred by accident. Maybe they didn't preplan conception, but you must not have any children. Perhaps your opinion is a matter of semantics. I hope so.
I like this one the best.
That is as beautiful as it gets! I grew up in pheasant country and I don't think there is another bird that majestic. Thank you.
