What camera and what settings?
do you remember what settings you were on. I am having trouble getting small objects in focus if at a distance. Help
I recently purchased the sony dsc hx300 and really like it.
I am a new photographer and the feature that I most like is the jog wheel. With it you can adjust the speed, aperture , exposure etc without going into any menues-just turn the wheel.
So far, I am very happy with the camera
I too am in a quandary. I have decided to go with the sony because it has manual focus ring and an adjustable back screen. I am not ready to shoot raw.
Thanks, seems a lot more expensive than what I am looking at. Or probably "need"
As to features, I just want to be able to take decent pictures under program mode. As I improve, I will work with the f stops, shutter speeds etc.
I have narrowed my choice of cameras to the following:
panasonic FZ200 12.1 MP. 14 opt zoom/48 digital
OR
Sony DSC HX 300. 20 mp 50 opt / 100 dig.
I can't seem to find a place to hold the fz200. Mail order only, that concerns me.
I am an amateur, taking family ,scenes, distant objects etc
.Any thoughts on which camera to purchase, or are there other considerations I have not mentioned.
what camera did you use ?
I am interested in the panasonic fz200. In going tp panasonics web site I noticed they have several categories of cameras, among them being P&S and compact camera systems. The fz200 is listed as P&S. Can someone explain the difference between point and shoot and compact camera systems .This newbie will appreciate the help. Thanks
Found them reliable and trustworthy, but this was about seven years ago. Nothing newer.
Thank you. You were very clear and concise.
Sounds like bridge cameras are a step up from point and shoot, and
Mirrowless are a step up from the bridge. Correct?
Please explain the difference between a bridge camera and a mirrowless camera. Are all mirrowless cameras 4/3 cameras?
I am trying to compare the panasonic lumex DMC-G6 and the DMC-Gx7.
Seem to be similar cameras but big price difference
I. Have an old Panasonic lumex and was thinking about moving up to a DSLR
But then started reading about the newer mirrowless cameras like the above.
I am a recreational photographer but would like to take better pictures with better equipment.
Any thoughts on which of the above (or other) that I should buy?
Thanks for any advice,Dave
