I am looking to get a Nikon d7100 and noticed Abe's had a good price. Has anyone ever dealt with this company? Feedback??

Be careful. Most of their low prices are for gray market. They sometime will not ask or inform you of this and when they do the non gray market item is usually not that great of a price. Also, they do try to upsell you into additional products.

Remember the old adage , if it sounds to good to be true, most likely it's not .
Just remember too, you get what you pay for .

Never had any problem with them. Most recently I bought a Tamron lens, which I registered and got the US warranty on with no trouble.
No "upsale" call either, but even if there was all you have to do is say no.

I have bought from them a few times over the years. But not recently.
Twice I purchased a camera and some accesssories. I had no problem with any of the products. They were delivered in a reasonable time frame and were exactly what i ordered.
However...they did call me to try to upsell me on other products. I did not like that. Now once I said "not interested" they did not push, but I did not like them doing it in the first place. Except for that,no complaints.
You can google their customer reviews and see how they compare to B&H, adorama and amazon.
Update: just looked them up on resellerratings.com
Abes of maine: 8.2 (4 of 5 stars)
B&H 8.7 ( 4.5 of 5 stars)

I've bought a number of things from Abe's, including lenses, camera bodies and tripods. I bought my equipment at their only physical brick and mortar store location which is in Edison NJ, only 10 minutes from my house. While I am aware of some of the bad press they occasionally get, they were always fair to me, never hassled me, had a liberal return policy and every item I purchased had a US warranty. They may sell some grey goods (imports) at a lower price, but so does B&H and Adorama. Just confirm it when you make the purchase.

Did you know that Abe's of Maine is not actually in Maine, but in New Jersey? Maybe you thought you were buying from a local vendor.

Just out of curiosity, went to Abe's web site, looked up a Nikon D610, what does this mean? "Brand New Factory Fresh Import Model" LOL... That alone would send me running.

yes, I"ve made purchases from them in the past, matter of fact I"ve been to their store as well, and they have been reputable and I"ve always been satisfied, with my purchases from them

I've bought my camera and several lens from them, all Canon and never had a problem.

No experience but I have checked their ads off and on, BTW last time I checked they were in Edison NJ, Bob.
