I think it may have something to do with the zoom setting?

I do not have the diffuser down. I was wondering why the 18mm stays constant even if I have the lens set to a different focal length. What do I need to do to get it to change to be in accordance with my focal length of the lens. I will be using it in less than an hour and need to make sure everything is set to TTL, etc. I do not want to shoot in manual flash … just TTL.

OK. My flash shows TTL 400 ISO and FX/M 18MM f5.6 AND if I change the ISO, the FX/M 18MM does not change. Is that correct?

My camera is on manual and flash is on TTL/BL/FP. My question is distance to subject. I know the ISO will be set on the flash in accordance with what it is on the camera. What I do not know is will the distance to subject be set automatically. If not, how do I set it on the flash to automatically set the distance to subject? Thank you.

Thanks to those who responded. All I had to do was press the "F" key and like magic it re-appeared. Weird!

The lefthand toolbar for my Photoshop CS6 has suddenly disappeared. Under "Windows" I have the "Tools" checked but it still does not appear. Has anyone had this problem and if so how did you correct it?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks to everybody who responded. I do have my camera in my hot shoe and my in camera setting is on TTL; however, when I rotate the display dial TTL/BL is never an option. As it relates to TTL, the only selection is TTL/BL/FP and TTL/FP. I find it interesting that the flash manual specifically states to select TTL/BL but this does not show up on my flash monitor. I'd like to hear from owners of the Nikon SB 910 to see if they have this same issue and, if so, how they corrected it.

I have a Nikon D810 camera and Nikon SB910 flash.

The manual for the Nikon SB 910, Basic Operations, Pg. B-11 instructs (1) Press the MODE button to highlight the flash mode. (2) Rotate the selector dial to display TTL/BL. (3) Press the OK button.

My problem: There is no TTL/BL when I rotate the selector dial. Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, how is it corrected?

Another question: When my SB 910 is on camera, my display on the flash is TTL/BL/FP. I am assuming it means Through The Lens/Balanced but what is FP and how would you use that setting? I cannot find anything in the manual which addresses this setting.

All I want to do is basic event photography with flash. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

MWSilvers, thank you for your response. I have a Toshiba Satellite P775-S7100 laptop which I am guessing is at least 5 years old, maybe older. I am running Windows 10. I am not knowledgeable about updating video drivers.

When trying to open Topaz Labs software, the program will not run because it states I need OPEN GL 2 or larger installed. Does anyone have a link for a SAFE (preferably free) download?

Thank you in advance.
