There is usually a fasting period before a comprehensive blood test to ensure accurate results. Just ask the doctor.

Take your longest lens. Preferably something in the range of 500 to 600mm or longer.

I lost all Bluetooth capability on my 5K iMac after the install, but everything else is working okay. Tried to reinstall per Apple's instructions, but that wanted to take me back to Catalina so a no-go. Was told a "clean install" was my only remaining option, but have decided that is a bit too risky should something else not click.

I hope someone can help me out because I've been pulling my hair out over this issue LOL. I've posted this question to a couple of Olympus forums so far no responses. My hopes here are kinda slim also but decided I'd try. Not that hoggers aren't knowledgable or helpful but I suspect the number of Olympus users here is quite small and the ones that use BBF would be even smaller.
I've been trying to set up BBF on my EM5 MK2, but with no success. I've watched every Youtube video on the subject and followed their directions.
Menu> Custom Menu> AEL/AFL> S-AF> Mode 3. I then set the FN1 button to be the BBF button.
I then check the shutter button by pressing halfway and it doesn't focus. So far so good. I press the FN1 button and it focuses. So far so good. I then press the shutter button to take the picture and if I've recomposed it tries to refocus. Not good. I've ended up with numerous blurry photos I've had to delete.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Probably something obvious. Thanks for any help.

Don't have the Em-5 but have the EM-1 Mk2. With it there is an additional function under the AEL/AFL sub menu titled " Halfway AF". This must be off or you will encounter the difficulties you reference.

I would recommend the Mindshift Backlight 36L. They also have a 45L if the 36L is not big enough, but it is not airline carry-on compliant. The 36L is.

As you found in your initial research, it is related to screen resolution. Your screen has a fixed pixel resolution. When the pixels in the image are 1 to 1 to the screen, you are looking at a 100% crop. Note how the image gets 'fuzzy' when you go beyond 100% in your digital editor.

Say your high-def screen is sized 1920x1080 pixels for a 16x9 aspect ratio. When you look at an image at or larger than 1920x1080px and you 'zoom' to 100%, you are seeing just a 100% crop of the larger image for exactly a section measured 1920 pixels x 1080 pixels.

Consider your image measuring 8290 x 4560. Using my example monitor at 1920x1080 that measures 21-inches across. You'd need a monitor wider than 80-inches (4x) to see the entire image at the original 38MP resolution at 1:1 pixels to screen.

See examples and somewhat related discussion: Recommended resizing parameters for digital images

I forget the name of the park that has an excellent view of Cathedral Rock at a vortex site. Get there as early as possible before the tour buses arrive. If the stream is low enough to cross, the better compositions are on the other side.

I have an Oly E-m1 mkII and use a Venus Laowa 7.5mm f2.0 which I purchased exclusively for Milky Way shooting. The results have been excellent. I usually shoot at f2.0 ISO 2000 and 20 second shutter speed.

Amazon and B&H carries these.

Not at all. The updates apply to a very small segment of the features (<1%) and that you can pick up from the update description detail. The book continues to be a godsend for me. Get it.

What is BIF? I just returned to Olympus OM-D EM5 MARK II after a brief "encounter" with both the Olympus first, then a Sony a7II, then FINALLY deciding on the Olympus OM-D EM5 MARK II. What or where is the best and most simple place, or source, to learn about the Olympus? Am I starting a new topic? I don't know but the Olympus menu system was the main reason I returned to the Sony after years of working with them, but I decided I want the Olympus for both the size, quality and choices of lenses. I must learn how to navigate the Olympus system. Maybe this will help this topic for both of us?

Darrell Young's "Mastering the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II". Excellent book, and once you get the camera and the mysets set up the way you want, things are very easy. I have a myset (custom set) for landscape, one for portraits/people and one for action. Easy after that.

I use the Venus Optics Laowa 7.5mm f2.0 on an Olympus EM-1 MkII for my Milky Way photography and like it very much. I usually shoot at 7.5 and f2.0 with 2000 ISO. It is not a fish eye.

I do all my editing on a 5K Mac which I was calibrating monthly. However I like to sync my favorites to my iPhone and iPad to carry around to share with people. I was frustrated because the phone and pad images never matched what I was seeing on the Mac post edit. Of course not because the Mac was calibrated while the phone and pad were not. So I went back to the "standard" iMac profile provided by Apple, and images on all 3 devices now match well. So for all imaged I want to sync with my iPhone and iPad, I do not edit with a "calibrated" Mac. I use the standard profile. However for those infrequent times I wish to print, I do edit those images with a monitor calibrated to the printers instructions.
