This river originates in Sparta,NJ and runs up to Rondout Creek in NY. One of the few rivers that runs south to north.
Was hoping to catch more color in the leaves but they are not in full autumn splendor.

Thanks for the warm welcome to the site.
The camera does still take pictures..
I am thinking it could be the strobe even though it still functions.
I will take your advice and call Canon.

I was just holding down the shutter button on my 3Ti when a loud pop came from the camera. Has anyone ever experienced this?

We were docked in the Atlantic City Marina and a group of Carolina Classic owners pulled in. I was so impressed by the transformation of their boat I have been sharing it with everyone.

My favorite model and best pal is Bosco. He has shown a lot of patience as I played with my new camera.

Actually, I should probably amend my post. Sometimes a "plain sky" is desired if the planned use is for text. Attached is such a photo that was used for marketing materials-- it had text in the sky and was used on a 6'x9' screen. So I will re-shoot this waiting for a "better sky".

I can see what you mean with some light in the sky. Your example is really great.

Looks like a great advertisement for Aruba. Are those commercial buildings or bungalows? ;-)

I believe they use the pier for charter dinner curses and diving cruses. Part of it is a Tiki Bar.

top third of the sky lacks interest. I'd prefer more foreground. Other suggestion: shoot this scene with some light in the sky. I'll post an example, with permission

It would be much appreciated.
I spent quite a while playing around that night. It was fun getting to know the camera a bit.

From the pool deck of the Golden Nugget I was trying my first attempt of time exposures. Would like some feedback on how to improve. Thanks..

I walked the beach each morning and I thought that this pier had photographic qualities.

Welcome aboard. If you haven't done so already there is a book entitled "Canon EOS Rebel T3i/600D for Dummies" by Julie Adair King. You can get it on Amazon.com. I have the same camera and this book proved very useful to me.

Thanks.. Found out there is a Kindle edition which I just downloaded.
