Many bridges have little "islands" protecting the bridge supports. In one case, those islands were added to the new bridge after a ship's collision destroyed the former bridge.
I can't believe that a bridge of this size and importance wasn't protected by those "little islands". You know that sooner or later something like this is going to happen.
"Banned RAW files" and photos that were processed from RAW photos are different. "Processed" seems to be the keyword here, it appears that they want the original JPEG from the camera, unprocessed.
My guess is that it is easier to spoof an AI picture to a RAW file than a JPEG since JPEG files have conjoined data points.
I have to ask. What would you prefer in terms of our clocks? The current system, in my opinion, is absolutely ridiculous. Politicians are trying to decide when and if they should do something, but they don't know what to do. They seem to be leaning toward year-round DST.
This is not something that should be determined by public opinion. According to science and medical studies, permanent DST would be a bad idea. The best approach would be to live on "Normal Time." I don't think we'll be seeing that in my lifetime, though.
Opinions?

I have to agree. DST is nothing but a disruption to our Circadian rhythms.
My niece may have an opportunity to acquire a used D800E from her late great uncle’s estate at a bargain price with some good lenses. She is a beginner but shoots mainly for a local newspaper. She does no post processing now but is planning to take a course. Would this be good for her or would it potentially just frustrate her? This question is mainly for Nikon users and I don’t know much about this camera other than what I read at the BH site. Right now she uses a CanonT100.
I'm not sure whether the additional weight is problematic but I've found that the main advantage of my D800 is in the ergonomics which are easily accessible using the direct controls rather than convoluted menu options.
Call these folks: http://www.midwestcamera.com/ I don’t know if they can help or not but the call is free and who knows, it might pan out. Best of luck.
These people are great. If they can't do anything they will tell you.
