Don't believe all the hype on a new camera

Just because all the companies continue to put out new cameras constantly, don't believe all the hype that you need the newest and shinniest. I went out on August 5, 2023 for 8 hours and felt like getting the Nikon d300 out for a bit. I put my Sigma 100-400 on the camera and away I went at the Perth Wetlands in Mitchell, Ontario. These are some of the images I was able to capture with that combination. It is not always about which camera you have it is more important to simply take photos and practice your skills.

Again thanks for taking the time to look.

What a really nice set. The newest and shiniest can help the wildlife photographer "Get the shot", of course you may have to sort through several 100 shots to find it. They used to call it "Spray and Pray" now it has, in many cases, become "Spray and Hunt". In reality we all know that, when push comes to shove, it's the photographer that makes the shot and the lens that is responsible for the optical quality of the shot.

Nice shots! For me, anyway, the latest and greatest are grossly overrated.

Nice set. Technology is often great but not always necessary.

Yes if I am having an off day with the z50 I always resort back to the d300, I think it is because I have used the camera for so long the controls are just a part of muscle memory and so the camera becomes easier to use
