I suggest the 35mm for you. But just to confuse the issue let me say that I now use my 60mm micro lens almost all of the time now instead of my nifty 50. I call it my nifty sixty. And it works a little better than the 50 for portraits or street shooting than the 50 and leaves me a micro lens at my fingertips when I want to get close.

I have to print my own work using my CanonPro 9500 Mark II. I am too,too much of a control freak to do otherwise. Will certainly be happier when they come out with refillable ink wells in a professional photo printer. That should save enormous amount of money.

I think you need to do both. Keep transferring your files to the next best thing but also print on quality paper and use archival storage boxes and albums to store the photos. Whatever you do ,guard the prints against uv light.

I spoke to someone once on my cell phone 3 0r 4 years ago. Did not care for it. I only bought the phone for the camera in it.

Why would you not buy from Adorama directly? I just purchased a refurbished D7100 and was offered a 3 year warranty over the phone but i never buy extended warranties, but it was available if I wanted it.

I shoot a 16-85 on my D7000 about 80% of the time and find it to be incredibly sharp for a zoom. It might not be a wide enough focal spread to suit you but I tend to agree with the idea that too wide a focal spread degrades the images to a a degree. Of course when i need dead sharp I switch to primes. It is awful hard to beat a nifty 50 and if I was a portrait shooter I would definitely have the 85mm 2.8 or even the 105. You have got to match your lenses to what you want to accomplish. There is simply no lens that will d0 it all.

The message I received on my IMac was that I could not open Aperture while it was being updated. This went on for several hours and then, the next day, it came back on although there was no indication of any upgrade on Apps store. Sometime the Apple gods just seem to like to mess with us.

I print with Canon Pro 9500 and am partial to Ilford Pearl and fFibre Gold. But I do have the ICC profiles for them. Do not care for Canon paper. Have had exceptional luck with Ilford. Just sayin

I shall continue with Aperture as long as my I Mac lasts. It does everything I need . It was lame of Apple to quit supporting it and I think it will cost them customers in the long run. The new photos app is pretty much useless for anyone who is serious about photography. Very shortsighted of Apple.

I started with a borrowed Can 35 years ago but selected Nikon when it was time to buy my own. The primary reason was lens mounts. And that reason is still valid today. From at least the 70000 series thru all of their fx bodies you can use virtually any Nikon lens ever made. That gives a person access to some fabulous legacy lenses. Depending on where live, you do need to try the 750 out to see if the weight and balance are comfortable for you. Rent. One, if you need to. I am 72 and find I have trouble using long lenses handheld and have come to avoid them. Just sayin.

I think you need Willie Nelson to set that to music for you. I sense a platinum record. Irregardless, I feel that anyone shooting a dslr needs a nifty fifty in their bag.

I keep hearing this about Aperture all the time. But it is not going away. If you have it you can continue to use it. I do not see the problem. Downstream you may buy a new camera body that the old Aperture cannot recognize, but other than that, your golden.

They will need to pry my IMac out of my cold, dead fingers. That being said, it is still very advisable to have Apple Care. It will pay for itself many times over. it has for me..
