Really nice pix. Some don't look like panos. Many people don't care for Rome but I love it with all the charm, variety, and things to see and experience. The traffic, eh but who hasn't dealt with traffic?

I don't like a strap around my neck as it adds additional stress on my already achy neck. For the last ten years or so I use a Spider holster combined with a wrist strap. It shifts the weight to my hips and legs and I can walk for hours without any stress. When the camera is attached to the belt I usually keep my hand/arm on the camera to prevent bumping. My hands are free until the camera is needed and detached in a moment and, with the strap on, I'm ready to shoot. When finished it clips back on the belt in a moment. Very convenient!

I like them both probably the 2nd one more as it has a bit more interest. However, IMO, I don't think the raindrops add anything and would try cloning them out and re-evaluate.

After 42nd St changed hands it lost its good reputation.

Many years ago 47th Street photo (not 42nd St) was a reputable dealer. That was a long, long time ago and they are NOT related.

from now on I'm not taking the battery doors off, i did cause i wanted try a grip?

I don't know what your issue is. I've had to replace the door on a couple of occasions and it was easy. Hold the door at a 45 degree angle and gently pull it straight out, or the opposite if replacing it.

I've always been very interested in macro photography. I now have a new attachment that has a focus stacking function so, I'm now looking for a decent macro lens. Does anyone have any advice?

While you are searching lenses be sure to check out the Tokina 100mm macro. I have one and love it. At the time (6-7 years ago) it was very highly rated and substantially less expensive than all the other majors - including Nikon.

I don't know about now but certainly worth exploring. Good luck.

The lion entered the photo in a local competition and won with "Morning Breakfast".

Everything below the truck's tires is AI generated. I didn't like the parking lot my truck was sitting on, so I added a nice trout stream.

"Cheating?" by whose rules?

My rule is, "Your picture, your rules". End of story.

BTW, beautiful job!

I have two Crucial portable SSD drives. They are fast and reliable, as are most of the Crucial products. ONE BIG PRECAUTION...don't buy them from Crucial. Their sales department and customer service are brutal - hopefully just disorganized and will be eventually be corrected but your order will takes weeks and CS responses not helpful. Order it from Amazon and get it in 2 days.

Working our way West, tomorrow we head to Sedona. Obviously, Cathedral Rock is on the list…will be there 3 days…what else should I add to the list?

TIA

See if you can find this spot! Sedona is beautiful if you can avoid the crowds. Also check out Talequepaque Crafts Village. Beautiful artwork and jewelry. Jerome is very cool and shouldn't be missed.

Enjoy
