As everyone who has bird feeders know, it is almost impossible to prevent the little furry rascals from stealing all your bird seed. I provide shelled seeds and sunflower seeds. The birds seem to prefer the sunflower seeds - - - and so do the llittle furry rascals.

This ingenious little device, a pie pan inverted on top of the feeder, has significantly reduced the amt of seeds consumed since I put it up. I don't think it has completely stopped the little rogue, but consumption tells me it has frustrated him to the point of looking elsewhere for his free meals. Unfortunately, I have not been able to catch him at his trade since I put this up, put I'm still on the look-out. Will post a shot or two when, and if, I catch him.

Could you please explain in English what you just said. As to what I posted, it is correct. Keeping it with photography, Cameras and lenses cost more today than they did when Biden took office. That is because the dollar is weak, so prices of imports have soared.

The evidence does not support your statement that the dollar is strong. And, even if you were correct, which you are not, your statement about the dollar being strong isn't even relevant to the posted article. That article is warning us that 1) other countries are worried about the strength of our currency and 2) that they are trying to move away from the world's currency being based on the dollar.

Both of those issues could cause serious problems for the United States in the very short future.

I know this is a basic question but I don’t know the answer so please don’t respond like I’m an idiot. Keep the snark at the door. I’m pretty much a rookie regarding post processing having done some basic editing with JPEGS. If I want to teach myself more advanced techniques do I need to be shooting in raw or does a program like Luminar work with jpegs? I have two slots in my camera so I can shoot one in jpeg and one raw.

I think if you asked that same question on YouTube will find a wealth of information. The advantage as I see it is you be able to see the results.

I recently acquired a Nikon D800 and see that it isn’t compatible with the ML3 infrared remote. Any suggestions or experiences on different brands or styles of remotes? I don’t use a remote very often but they are invaluable when you do need one. Thanks!

Google the question.

Just think if Trump did not instigate the r**t and subsequent deaths would there be a need for all this t***h searching. His ego and arrogance would not allow him to believe he lost. Sadly there were people who believed him. It's all on him.

I do some seasonal work in the sports program for a portrait studio here in my area, covering several middle school and high school accounts. While on our outdoor jobs such as football, soccer, tennis, baseball, softball, track, etc., the owner prefers that we photograph in aperture priority mode, and has directed that the trainers/managers should teach that to new hires, and that everyone photographing on a job is conforming to that directive.

Our set up consists of a SB910 speedlight on a flash bracket (ttl setting), with a battery operated monolight (non-ttl) on a light stand as an additional light to help cover the various sizes of the team group picture, as well as lighting the individual picture when/where needed. The monolight is a Godox AD600BM, a manual light unit.

Personally, I find using aperture priority mode outdoors to be very troublesome, although I try to do my best with getting a decent image SOOC, requiring at times taking a second or third image with a much needed adjustment with exposure compensation to either the flash or camera, or both. You can see how time consuming this is operating the controls this way, and the coach’s don’t like us taking time away from their practice time.

This whole process is very challenging in my opinion, because where your camera sensor is pointing at, such as a light or dark area of the scene, your exposure is affected. I use manual mode outdoors with my own personal work, with both the camera and speedlight and find it much easier to use with almost always having consistent exposures, but I can’t use manual mode when doing these jobs. Silly isn’t it, but I have to comply if I want to work with them.

So what exposure mode do you predominately use outdoors with on-camera flash while using a second light on a light stand to perhaps get dimensional lighting on an individual, and if it’s in aperture priority mode, what technique do you use to get consistent results? Would love to hear what you have to say so I can improve my technique and skills. Hope I’ve explained everything properly enough to get your valved response.

I did a post on composition/rule of thirds on a different site and I was disappointed at the pure disdain in mentioning the term "rules"! Responses like "rules were made to be broken", "I refuse to be restricted", "I please myself", "My creativity will be restrained"......It surprised me how little people knew about composition approaches as well as the desire to incorporate. I use rule of thirds quite often, even in portraiture. I would like to see images from others where a particular rule of composition is utilized. Here are a few - rule of thirds

People may know about the concept but are not concerned and wish to apply their "artistic" rendition. I think the 4th picture is the best of the lot.
