You have a lot of good responses here. Just remember, it is about 2 hrs to drive across the state. It's about 5.5 hrs to go from Miami to Jacksonville. Same thing Jacksonville to Pensacola is a long drive. The southern part of the state is more tropical. The North has several nice Forested areas. Orlando is tourist Central. West Coast beaches are sugar sand, east coast beaches are a little rough to swim but you weren't interested in that. Beach walks are delightful on either coast. Tampa and St. Pete/Clearwater and South to Manatee and Sarasota county have lots of nice parks, historic areas, museums, the lists are endless. The Everglades are awesome especially in Winter. Airboat rides will give you a glimpse into that magical landscape. It's also peak bird nesting and great star gazing during those months. And less mosquitoes!

Look up Western Tanager. As others have said, it's hard without a side shot. I just don't know if the bill is correct for goldfinch but that would be another possibility.

The crown becomes more yellow during mating season.

Wow, that was my first camera! Sadly I lost it when a hurricane flooded our home. It was a great little Camera though.

A fast lens will help, use a higher f stop like f8 or higher depending on the light , shutter speed higher, more importantly if it's your own yard, plant something where they will linger.

You know, I have that printer, the Pixma Pro 100, and just don't use it that much. Don't know where you moved to in Florida but are you interested in purchasing this same unit?

Probably Shamrock? Since we only have one restaurant and one stop light 😊. I haven't heard of that trail, but there are so many great ones to ride, so little time.

We love that park, although there is no fort per se. But you are right, a lovely campground!

You might try The Camera Cure in St. Pete. He's worked on my Nikon camera before without a problem I'm not sure about lenses but look them up and give them a call.

I also have this lens and have used it to take some wonderful Milky Way shots.
