I kept an old camera my mother had. It is a box that is 6" by 5" by 31/2" and uses 116 film and was made by the Eastman Kodak company in New York. It has a vertical and horizantal view finder that is quite tiny and difficult to see through. I can remember my mother using it when I was a child and I have no idea how old it was then so it must be quite old as I will be 80 this month. It did take some nice pictures as I recall. The original point and shoot. The handle on it says cartridge hawk-eye model B. Just a fun thing to have.
Thank you so much!! Your answers are a help for me to get with it!!!! Oh, so much to learn
Love the deer picture. I would be ever so proud if I had taken a picture like that!!!!

Baker Beach, probably the most perfect place to photograph the bridge and you even got Fort Point in the picture. This is absolutely beautiful.

Had not thought about doing that so I will be careful to follow your advice. Thank you.
Thank you. I will follow your advice.
Thank you. I have made note of the brands and will make sure that I purchase same. I have no idea what came with my camera at this point.
This picture is so natural looking. I feel as if I could just walk into it. A very nice effect.
I took mine to FED EX and they printed it for me. So frustrating not to have a manual you can take with you as I find I have to refer to the manual more times than I care to admit. Never needed a manual with my old 35mm Nikon N50. I cannot understand why the companty does not present the new owner with a printed manual. Mine was 237 pages!!!
I had to send my camera back to Nikon because of a problem with focusing and I was told it had a battery drain situation too so I just got it back yesterday. Checked it out last night and everything appears to be just fine. With these problems out of the way now I am all set to learn what I need to know. I live in the So. California desert so right now it is a bit too hot to be out and about with a camera so I will practice indoors in the AC.
I just bought a new Nikon coolpix 500 camera and need to become acquainted with it. Looking forward to learning from this site.
