When I went to the 2017 eclipse I did a lot of homework. Removing the filter really stuck in my mind. So I was ready for this one.

My attempt at the partials to totality, was so amazed at the view never took lens filter off, therefore no corona--real bummer.

Trying to find past discussions on camera repairs on UHH with no luck. My situation-- have a grey mkt teleconverter stuck to a USA Nikon D800 body which Nikon will not repair because of grey mkt attachment. Could someone recommend reputable repair shop to deal with my problem? Thank you.

Just purchased and received a used Nikon D850 from a very reputable Photography Store/chain in Canada.
Great price camera, less than 1/3 of a new one, looks brand new, not a scratch anywhere however I have just confirmed that it has been well used, the shutter count is 228,795, Hmmm
So far the D850 is working as expected.
I have a 90day money back warranty.
Any thoughts? Keep of return?

Ship it back.

Did you run a catalog import from the new software pointing to the old LRCAT file as the source?

Assuming you're a paid subscriber, did you open a Technical Support Chat with Adobe?

Had windows 10 installed by a computer guy , who basically says he installs the 10 and clones the drive that 7 was on and that's it does not know anything about various programs--but all looks ok except the remove function. Will admit I'm not very good at working programs only know enough to get in trouble. Have gone on chat with adobe this am waited 45 min no results, will try later today. Yes, am a adobe subscriber. I guess it would be ok to leave the photos imported by win 7 and not remove any as long as it does not create problems in the future as it seems win 10 photos are removable.

You didn't ask for any help but go here: https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html

On that site there is a button on the lower right corner of your screen. Click on it and it will start an online "chat". Answer a few questions and a tech will join you. If, for some reason, they are busy there may be a wait. Super Bowl Sunday might be a quiet day for them.

The button looks like this:

Thanks, Bill

I'm not sure exporting all the images for a new import would save your adjustment work. If you are on the current subscription you can get a direct connection to Adobe through an online chat. If not there is the dedicated Lightroom user forum.

If you need help finding those I'm following this topic.

Yes am on current subscription --will try adobe to see what happens. Thanks.

Situation: I only use one catalog for all photos not separate catalogs nor collections. Recently went from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Now, cannot remove "from disk" but can remove "from catalog" photos on the filmstrip that were there from windows 7, but any photos I have imported to the catalog since Windows 10 will delete "from disk" or " from catalog". When I went to windows 10 the catalog name stayed the same but a suffix v10 was added to the catalog name. Anyone have any ideas why I can't delete any photos that were placed in the catalog via windows 7?
Thanks.

I have subscription for Photoshop & Lightroom on a Windows 10 OS. Have been using subscription PS &LR for about 6 months (all running well) , prior to subscription I was using LR 6 (standalone). Question is-- can I just uninstall LR 6 from my computer via the control panel without affecting the subscription LR?

Heading up to Presque Isle for a week next month to enjoy some snow adventures. Are there any locals on this forum to recommend places of interest and great photo opportunities? We are driving from Massachusetts. Thanks!

I have lived in Van Buren @35 miles north of PI all my life , except recently moved to Canada just across the border from Van Buren. Lots of open country ( farm land). The St. John River valley from Van Buren to Fort Kent( @45 north of VB). Is very picturesque. Expect lots of snow and cold weather. You can get nice sunrises & sunsets most everywhere. If you get up to the town St. Agatha overlooking Long Lake very picturesque.
I now live in St. Leonard New Brunswick which is just across the St. John River from VB , I still do most of my photography in the Van Buren area. I only do photography as a hobby so I can cross my equipment back and forth between the borders. Good luck.
