In the January/February issue of American Photo there is an article "Out of time" by Vincent Versace. The images are from Burma and in infrared. I'm still in love with this style.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Animals can and easily do become a hugh part of your family. Thor will be missed. You will smile and you will cry but you will also remember all the good times you had with him. Peace be with you.

Art was a major study and I was given awards...Willie my most enjoyed singer done in colored pencil, Igwana pen and ink, Quigly pen and ink

I love these as well. I have some pen and ink stuff somewhere. I like that media but there is no going back if you make a mistake. At least with graphite I can erase and there have been times when I just couldn't get something right and I was afraid that I was going to erase all the way through the paper.
I know I keep saying I'm going to have to dig some of this stuff out and every time I see a new post, I say it again. :D It seems that I move a lot and now to figure out where that stuff is. (Although, the artwork that I see on here is better than mine! Maybe mine needs to just stay in the attic....or gargage....or closet somewhere)

I love all of this! I hope others will see this thread and continue to add their talents as well. I really am going to have to look through boxes for things I still might have.
I think as artist we probably have tried just about everything and we each find what we like the best but I think dabbling in different mediums helps us to appreciate the artistry of others works. Like the quilts. I have such a short attention span and get bored easily. I want quick results and sewing isn't my cup of tea (maybe that's my problem too much caffine) but those quilts are amazing. Not your typical old fashioned quilts. Those are truly works of art.
The wood sculptures very much intrigue me. That is something I would like to try my hand at and I would only hope to have both hands when I'm done. Faces and the human form are difficult subjects because you can put an extra hump on a mountain and it still look like a mountain. You put an extra hump on a face well...you have your mother-in-law.
I'm glad the old Scout is still running and I'm guessing you are talking the truck and not the boy scout that still lives inside you. Although, either is still quite a challenge.

Looking at all of these makes me want to go paint something. Alas, the laundry calls. Boo.

PS Mooseeyes, I grew up about an hour our so away from Bristol in a little town called Tazewell, VA.

Love all of this. I paint with oils and on motorcycles.Sorry I don't have any of those to show(35mm film). So I'll give you pictures of my latest venture, jewelry.

Joy you must have good eyes and tons of patience. That looks like tedious work. Very nice!
Here are 3 or 4 of some oils that I am working on getting finished. Two are almost done, one is getting close, while one still has lots of work yet. These photos are handheld, point and shoot, so are not all that great. When I finish a work, I do a more serious photo (big cameras, lighting, tripod, etc.).
These are amazing! I agree that the horse in the barn looks like a found treasure. I would love to see the finished product as well.

my art is in making jewelry with natural stones by cutting and polishing

Let me start by saying I love rocks. I have several geodes on my mantel...and piano...and in my china cabinette. My favorite rock is snowflake obsidian. So, that in itself makes me like this pendant along with the fact it is beautiful. I would love to see more.

well I do digital art, used to do oils but digital is not as messy and easier to correct mistakes

I love the digital art. The first one is my favorite. I think it has a "wizardy" look to it. I know this will sound weird, but there is always a part in my artwork that I really like and a part that I would change. I love the sky in that first picture. The texture and way it seems to illuminate between the clouds. I just like it.

This is a wonderful thread. I hope it continues. I too am an artist, doing oils, watercolors, pastels, etc. Currently, I have a number of painting in progress. Most of what I do tends to be large works, but not always.

Maybe I'll do some digital photos of what I am working on, and people can watch my progress and offer comments. Might be sort of fun? Or, it might be a nightmare???

Yes...please share.

Were they even posted on this site? Or are you asking if we as photographers know a special way to hack your ex's computer? If they were posted on this site they can't really be "moved" so I'm thinking they are elsewhere.
Good luck with that.
