I recently purchased a refurbished Nikon D750 from B&H. Forgive me for what may be a dumb question, but If I install the most recent firmware update for this camera, will it also include previous updates, or will I need to install those previous updates separately?

Just curious to know how long it took for any "Hoggers" who purchased the Leica Q from B&H to actually receive it. It's been almost two months and counting. I've been a long-time loyal customer with B&H, but starting to wish I'd ordered directly from The Leica Store.

I highly recommend "Photographer's Guide To The Panasonic Lumix LX100", by Alexander S. White available from Amazon. I have found it to be thorough, highly informative and easy to read. You have a great camera. Hope you enjoy it!!

There is no possible way that FZ 200 could ever beat D700.

Alois, I absolutely agree with you that the D700 is a better camera than the FZ200. My only point was the fact that at my age, the FZ200 offers a lot of features in a much lighter package than my D700 with a bag full of lenses. I would never part with the Nikon, but I find myself reaching for the FZ200 more often than not these days.

Absolutely love my Panasonic FZ200. It has almost totally replaced my Nikon D700 and bag of lenses that seems to weigh more every day. The 600mm (35mm equivalent) reach with constant 2.8 aperture throughout the range is really hard to beat, especially in such a lightweight package.

I purchased the FZ200 a few months ago to carry on a couple of recent vacations instead of my Nikon D700 with a bag full of heavy lenses. So glad I did. It is light as a feather and image quality (with that Leica lens) is fantastic. Video is excellent too if you're so inclined. It does't have the reach of the Canon SX50, but the constant 2.8 aperture throughout its range, more than made the difference for me. My only complaint.....the manual is embarrassingly pitiful. Fortunately, Graham Houghton's You Tube video tutorials or his new FZ200 book (available at Amazon) are excellent references. Good Luck!

I upgraded yesterday to my iMac and others are correct...it's a time consuming process. No problems except one. I cannot send emails because my messages will no longer accept contacts from my contact list. Unless some fellow "hoggers" can suggest a fix for me, I'll need to call Apple about this.

Got my Lensmaster a few months ago based upon recommendations from other "hoggers". It never comes off my tripod now. I love this thing. Excellent quality too.

Thanks for all the great input folks. After some research and serious consideration, I took the plunge and ordered the Lensmaster RH-2. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Does anyone have a recommendation for the best type of tripod head to use while photographing air show events? Although I've never used a tripod at air shows in the past (too restricting I guess), I see other photographers using them exclusively. I guess I should have paid closer attention to the equipment they were using. Any specific recommendations? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Has anyone had success downloading YouTube tutorials and burning to DVD on a MAC operating System? I've seen such software available for Windows OS but not the MAC. There are some very good photography tutorials that I would like to show during our amateur photography club meetings because internet access is not good where we meet. Thanks in advance for any experience you've had with this.

Thanks for this info Bruce. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come for good people who enjoy a fun creative hobby.

I have a Nikon D300 DSLR and am thinking of upgrading to either D600 (about which I have heard there are some sensor cleaning problems) or to a D7100. Any thoughts/ feedback on performance comparison with D7100 or advantages of A FULL FRAME WILL BE APPRECIATED. i HAVE A 18-200 vr DX lens.

I'm sure there are as many opinions on this as there are "hogs" on the forum, but for what it's worth I recently upgraded from a NIKON D300s (which I still love today), to a nearly brand new D700, which has the full format sensor. The two bodies have identical layouts so there is no learning curve, and so far, I'm blown away with the images. The D700 doesn't have video capability but that doesn't matter to me. IMHO it offers more than the D600, especially if you can still find one that's been gently used at a good price. I suspect a lot of NIKON fans wish it was still in production. Good luck, and hang on that D300....it will make a great backup DSLR.
